Dog =/= dawg

If it's his buddy then say that. Otherwise, there's zero point. I've talked about friend's ventures into the hobby, but its true and i post my own shirt too

My dog rolls in rotten mushrooms.

Fucking jerk looked me right in the eye, smiled, and dropped into the roll.

I confess... I'm way behind on my mycology. I'm so far behind it's feeling overwhelming to get started. My apartment is starting to come together finally, but I've had these colonized jars sitting for over a month at this point. I really just need to spend like... 3 nights in a row doing nothing but mycology work... and I need a bigger or second pressure cooker. I moved to quart jars and can only do 4 at a time now with the size I have.

Good luck Shaper! That's a shitty feeling. Just a small bend in the road, you'll still get where you're going :super:

I confess, I've been putting it off for months now, I finally got myself an inkbird humidity controller. Amazon had a coupon, $49.99 Canadian. Now hopefully, I can concern myself with one less thing in that GH!

I hear you there. You miss a couple myco days and shit adds up quick.
Almost makes me miss those days I would(or had time to) hover and watch my tubs grow.
Spring decided to come, and I've been focusing on my veg garden, cacti&succulents and other plants, and gonna try to add some (legal)cannabis to the garden.
I'm way behind in my myco work, and actually about to hit the sab for an all day'er.
Got about 20 g2g to do,a couple a2g,and a shitload of transfers to do.
That along with some 6-10qts ready to be spawned.
Good thing I picked up some supplies this morning.:blazed:

Thanks! Good luck with the inkbird, I've had mine "in" my greenhouse for a few weeks now, nothing to hook it up to yet tho lol:

Also, I confess, I had my most bizarre trip yesterday. I ate 3.5g NAPES (nate's ape mutation/reversion) and MY GOD WAS IT WEIRD!!!

I started out taking a walk to the park when it kicked in. After I had been out for a half hour I was just getting too cold and needed to go back in. When I got inside I knew something different was going on so I got on my couch in comfy clothes, covered myself in a blanket and blasted off. I remember thinking "I followed all the books and I now have seen the truth of reality! I must vibrate with the human!" Then I started throat music chanting really loudly. I also grabbed my pan flutes and started playing them in an attempt to "harmonize with humans". For some reason I knew I wasn't human either, and that I had to fake it blend in.

After a bit of chanting I started reaching out to ... "people"? who weren't there. I'm not sure who I was talking to, but I'd put my hand out and say things like "It's ok!" "Don't be afraid" "come with me! I can show you the way." I had all the giggles the whole time. Also I just did a ton of chanting, I didn't even know I could make noises like that. It was like tuvan throat singing!

Anyways, yeah. I felt "insane" during the whole journey. I was worried that I wasn't going to make it back, that I had drifted off from reality too far and the mushrooms snapped me free. I made it back, but woah... that was a very weird one.

Yeah, it wasn't that long ago when I would spend time every night just looking at my tubs. Now I checkthem sometimes and am like "SHIT! This is almost ready for harvest, I didn't realize it'd been so long"

And yeah, same, I need to get into my "food" garden for the spring. I have a small-ish outdoor greenhouse that I'm going to grow some herbs, but mostly greenery to eat. Any recommendation outside of kale and chard that does well in a greenhouse that's for eating? I can't imagine any root veggies will grow, and things like peppers and beans will likely get too big.

I don't know if that will work for kings. They are tougher to grow than  all the other oysters.
You can grow ostreatus on old cardboard and trash, but kings usually need sterilized supplemented sawdust and a pretty specific fruiting environment.
