I'm just giving you shit, but not trying to be rude... I thought it was funny (why I put The kittylaugh gif) liners, including tinfoil, are not necessary to prevent side pins... with proper surface conditions, you'll usually not see them... the subs in my signature have minimal side pins (just the one on the left really) and I've only ever lined one tub... it's important to allow evaporation to occur between mistings to occur between mistings to stimulate pinning on top... tamping the edges a bit at spawn helps also... I apologize if I came across rude; wasn't my intent

lol... Yeah, if i can ditch the tinfoil, i will. But sometimes I like to take the cake out of the tub and set it in the fruiting chamber without a tub.
Easier to handle the cake that way. Unless its just way too large, then it lives in the tub.
Not sure I have any crutches the way im doing it. Well, the whole - print>syringe>jar thing is one big crutch. But it works.
I am not in the proper frame of mind to do agar right now.
Sad as that sounds, its completely true.(and sad)
So, im sorry if i took offense easily.
My brain needs some crutches for sure right about now...
Major family health issues, money can kiss my fuckin ass bunch of stupid fuckin bullshit.
We are not born to earn fucking money and hand it all over to fuckin douchebags all our lives...
so. yeah...

At long last I have fruited a couple of those mysterious mutant KS (or KSSS depending on who you talk to).
I found they are (so far) cute but nothing other than a novelty.
These took weeks longer than other cubes to fruit...  so far only produced two tiny fruits. I have another culture going and will try again for larger more plentiful fruits.

Thank you to Peetyboy for the spore Print.
For my purposes I’m calling these
Koh Samui Super Stubby Strain KSSSS...

I found this on Amazon... it is fantastic. The most notable feature for me is that it is grownd up very fine and dissolves very easily. I just sprinkle it over the cold water and by the time the water has heated up it is all blended in pretty well. It is 33 bucks... but cheaper by ounce than what you have there...

Nice psilo I noticed on my ms spaceships I transferred alot maybe well over 30 before I got nice flushes but still took 21plus days I didnt like the genetics either I'd rather fuck with pe ... but who knows a clone may have been better I took the 40 gram and a couple other around same weight right before I went on vaca so I dont know how they would have acted Haha... for the trouble I'd agree they are novelty

I guess it could be ... Koh Samui Space Ships...
:ducklol:

Re the question about yield... definitely not with this culture. Even the best tub pictures I've seen of these online looks like they would not yield well. The fruits are dense so if they were larger they may do ok. But like BoogieMan said... why not mess with PE if you are dealing with a slow strain? You'll definitely have better yields with PE.

According to these Cats... what we have here is KS
I have grown a ton of KSSS and they were great producers and normal looking cubes (but a bit on that Asian as opposed to Amazonian or Mexican phenotype).

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/10012341#10012341

Here is a beauty from my KSSS grows:

That is a second or third flush so it isn't very full obviously but my KSSS tubs would easily produce canopies

I’ve heard this but I can’t handle my pit sweating with all the shit I’ve done to myself throughout my life aluminum is probably the least of my concerns LOL However I have been thinking about that as far as the vermiculite I assume ??? I saw a few things on using charcoal instead but I haven’t seen any super good results. Sometimes you can get away without it my last couple pantries I left it out and just ran poo and straw. I did however use it in the zap sub I’m pasteurizing now. The deodorant one and aluminum can is pretty bad but not an anti-perspirant deodorant literally do nothing

nope, in reference to the nice man using ally foil as a tub liner. but you just showed me that verm contains aluminum. interesting.

it seems the second-closest-relative-one-can-have, of mine has an acute sensitivity to aluminum. i'll spare details. i was skeptical for the first few years they talked about it, but eventually i became a believer. they can't drink anything from a can, use med stuff in an aluminum tube, eat lots of stuff that uses aluminum as an anti caking agent, or pretty much anything with artificial food color. makes their life real miserable sometimes. so if there's a chance i'm predisposed to develop a similar sensitivity, well it's back to the risk/reward discussion about using fucked up pressure cookers. not worth it.

however, apparently i am genetically blessed, in that i don't sweat very much. next closest relative one can have gives me shit all the time when we lift because they'll be dripping with sweat, whilst i'm just barely breaking one. so i sympathize. it's easy for me not to use it, and i'm not tryin to preach. only mean to raise awareness.

let's see. i need a pic to post.

here's how i use a suction cup to hold the plate i'm using to inoculate a jar.

and holy fuck psilopsychin those ksss are freakin gorgeous.

I've been using the same stuff. Seems a bit stiffer than the Eden brand I had found locally, but it's 6 times cheaper so I'm happy with that.

Back OT: Loving the myc growth straight out of my Penis Envy syringe. These are first transfers, but even the ms plates were really round with rhizo growth right out the gate, and the growth is vigorous. Haven't gotten this kinda growth out of 3rd transfers from my GT spore print or B+ syringe except my B+ matching PE T1s vigor after 2nd transfer.
