Bobby Wagner ranked #1 in Run Defense and #1 in Coverage for his position according to PFF. Only missed 1 tackle out of 140 attempts.

Move over Luke Kuechly there's a new Sheriff in town.

As much as I've talked up Russell Wilson over the years, I wouldn't be adverse to a possible trade.

I don't want him to be the highest paid QB in the NFL. If they do end up doing that, hopefully it's not more than 3 years. So if he stinks up the joint he's not stuck long term.

They aren't gonna pay him 35 million a year. They'll draft a mid round QB this year.

Someone is willing to pay him though and the Seahawks own his rights. So rather than letting him walk they should work out a Sign and Trade.

They could probably get at least one maybe even two first rounders and some mid round picks too.

Giants have the #6 and #17 this year. Trade them RW for their #17 this year, their 3rd round pick this year, and their 1st round pick next year. That way they still have their #6 overall this year and get RW to fill their QB void. An easy sell.

Giants or any team are better off drafting a top QB and giving them a standard first rounder contract. $35mil a year is too much. Someone will pay it, but nobody will give up a boatload of picks to pay that much.

Pay the man baby!!!  Some of the rhetoric gets old but Russell is a stand up dude and a hell of a QB.  Couldn’t imagine having to deal with a dude like Jamis Winston or Cam.

Highest payed player in nfl

Ya I agree I dont think it was the best signing. I just knew you'd be pissed and then i saw the recent posts in here lol. I'm in the same boat this next year in my eyes Marcus Mariota hasn't been worth signing big long term deal but we'll see what we do this year.

Well at least the Salary Cap should be up to 200M soon.

That makes Russ only 15-20% of the Cap which is somewhat acceptable assuming they can draft well which has been a problem.

Hopefully he plays better without the Pressure of earning another contract now. The one good thing about RW, nobody questions his work ethic or preparation so this could be a mental boost.

Hate to see Frank Clark go, and the Chiefs are getting a hell of a pass rusher, but this was BEST CASE SCENARIO for the Hawks.

They couldn't afford him, plain and simple. Can't believe the haul they received for him, including a 1st rounder this year and a 2nd rounder next year. Then the Chiefs paid him 105 Million on top of that.

I'm pretty sure RW could have fetched 3 1st rounders, or 2 first and 2 seconds if Clark is worth a 1st and 2nd and 105 million.

Clark is a good player but he's not Elite at his position or a game changer. He seems to take plays off when his initial move doesn't work, and he's not great against the run. He's only really good off the edge or bull rushing on obvious pass situations. Not worth near that kind of money, a 500k a year nice draft pick can mimic him.

Clark was just that a few seasons ago replacing Bennett. This is his first real contract.

Since they paid RW the big money they're going to need to replace Clark rather than resign him. Getting two high picks helps with that. Jarran Reed is harder to replace I hope they Resign him.

Russell Wilson has never had a Losing Season so we'll have to wait and see it happen first before we gloat over it :mmmkay:

8-8 isn't worth 35mil a year, neither is 9-7. Seattle hasn't done good with first round picks since Earl Thomas, so don't hold your breath.
