Oh my damn! I'm looking everywhere constantly. Why am I not finding them so readily! One cluster would last me a year. Gorgeous!

BF, area i found some was a lowspot lots of lacrymaria, i found the best ones growing right in the center of bushes, didnt see them till i brought kneepads on my 3rd trip. Try what one homie suggested a garden fork thing to pull back debris and leaves.

This is why we cant have nice things. That sucks. @ doctorghosty

Stosch I ended up going back to that lot when I had time. I spent a good bit thoroughly examining everything. Still no luck. I think maybe someone beat me there if they were there at all. The site had everything. It was a lot where they'd demolished an old house. I didn't leave empty handed. Found an old piece of pottery with a cracked rim. Will look cool with some plants in it. I'll look at a different spot tomorrow. My luck is bound to change!

Humble I'm drooling over those in the pics you took today!

Yeah you just have to search as many disturbed habitats as you can. Most of them won't have weilii, but eventually you'll find one that does. And even if a habitat doesn't pan out now, it's still worth checking it next season.

BF I have faith in you. You’re putting in the work, you will find what you seek. Perhaps this is just a study in patience. I’ve been EXTREMELY fortunate and I’m aware of how blessed I am  to find what I have found.

Just go out with the mindset, “I just hope I find something new and interesting today” and you’ll get much less frustrated. I know you want them bad, just lower your bar a little, it will make this more sustainable.

You will find them. No one with your drive and willingness to learn has ever stuck with it and failed. The only way you’ll fail is if you give up.

Oh I appreciate the support and enthusiasm. I am not frustrated though. I enjoy the hunt! I am not just looking for actives. I'm looking for edibles. I'm looking for new and interesting things! I found the huge edible delicious boletes the other day. I found oyster too. Yesterday I found old pottery while searching. I walked around a pond with my fishing pole looking for mushrooms and fishing at the same time on Sunday. I caught a 6+pound bass. The biggest fish I've ever caught. I love it. I won't give up! Just think it's funny I found the gymns. If I found a handful at every place I've searched I wouldn't need to keep searching lol.

Man we still need some rain to get things moving, everything I find is struggling.    Found these this morning.  Along with some pins I left in hopes of rain.

I found some more buttons just like these, thoughts on if they will get bigger?  The blue looks like frost or something might have hit them.  I left them and did not pick

Checked out another spot today where a home once stood. And look what I found. Bollocks!!!

It's like the weilii are only a step ahead of me.

I tell you what guys. I am just about completely frustrated with these little guys. I have looked and looked. Driven through all kinds of neighborhoods in bartow and Cherokee county. Walked several parks multiple times. Walked through trails, through woods. I have literally looked for about an hour every single day the past month and for several hours on the weekends. All I can find is Lacrymaria. And plenty of them. Yet not one single weilii. I’m telling you I have put so much time looking and researching these I don’t understand why I cannot find one.
