High Ythan,
right now i`m plan to buy a dual-PII system.
First with Celerons, but hey, U can upgrade it later with hardcore PII, or even PIIIs, I dunno.
Now Im writing it on an K6-3, and I think AMD is far better (a LOT faster in graphic progz like Photoshop and CorelDRAW), but Cels and PII-s are much more expandable as times go by and price goes down.
Doncha think?

shit my bad, i misread.. but my message is still meaninfull.. i was just talking about the athlon mbds untill the end...

yes they will be out soon/are allready out
look to Via and AMD 's chipset info on their sites.
i cant wait for my 4x way gigahertz plus AMD sytem, runnng off of a 200mhz minimum sys interface and a dedicated channel for mem.. mmmm.. 2 meg FULL CORE SPEC L2.. mmmmmm'
oh well, ill just deal with my dual 500 PII (ocd) its nice, but i CANT WAIT..
btw the previous processors from AMD sucked.. i love AMD but im sorry, the fpu on them could barely add 1.0 +1.0 ... anyway..

Yes, dual Socket 7 is available. I just rippied out my old board and CPU and went to a PIII 550. Now I have this K6-2 350 sitting around. I thought of the same thing, doing a dual K6-2 system. I found a nice board for about 100 bucks. I haven't done it yet but I may soon. I would like to run linux on it (give me a reason to learn linux) and use it to edit video. I hear duals are the best way to go to crunch a lot of video.

Hi, this is mostly in response to balisquez.

I was gonna get a pair of 7-800 PII's to do some video work. when i realized taht for cheaper, a single G4/500 would still run applications i need faster then the dual 750's despite the fact the applications i speak of also are designed to accomodate multiple processors. =o~~
