I have come to the conclusion that we are supposed to be spending our lives doing positive things
bhante said that the best way to spend a life is to do positive things
I have started doing more and more positive things
I am much happier now as a result
music also brings happiness
I noticed that when we do something positive it echoes forever
I cut my toenails and noticed that almost everyone has it better because of it and later forever things have it a little better because of it

you know that if you name something and identify it and accept it then you can movie on
you know that if you name something and identiy it and accept it then you can move one

Good to hear you're doing more positive things and feeling happy Ferdinando Not sure what you mean with the toenail part, but everything in life seems to go better when I'm focusing on the little, positive, things.
It can help get you out of your own head too. Combine it with some metta meditation and you got a path to fulfillment

thanks so much red
I just think it's funny you can create almost a whole universe by making your homework
because the people around one is affected and when they have it better that influences their surroindings and theirs... ad infinitum
like personal hygiene and meditation etc. affects how children are raised
like good art
it was just a turn on milarepa said the business of the world will continue forever do not postpone meditation

I feel like positive things in my life are what keeps me happy and alive. There is usually truly no sense of purpose in the work we do for monetary reasons. Whatever we feel like gives us purpose gives us some positivity.

It is not very specific, (positivity) - which makes goodness a general direction, you know what it is, with or without rules or commandments. easy to find a path.
rules are a guide for when you lose your way.
it can seem for a while like it never gets better than a few rules.

Another factor is size or largeness. So much of the world is about doing something not only judged as positive, but the "largeness" seems to be part of what makes it positive. Positive is generally regarded as anything awe-inspiring, big, powerful. Goodness and positivity overlap with brute power, the "awesomeness" of the deed, project or product.
And then there is another term that overlaps with positivity, "beauty". Surely we must mix goodness with beauty, and then mix those with positive. Each individual mixes differently, and then come up with different ideals of what's valuable.
"I know that this world is a world of imagination and vision. I see every thing I paint in this world, but everybody does not see alike. To the eyes of a miser a guinea is far more beautiful than the Sun, and a bag worn with the use of money has more beautiful proportions than a vine filled with grapes. The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing which stands in the way." (William Blake)

"I shall not commit the fashionable stupidity of regarding everything I cannot explain as a fraud." - Carl Jung
"Attention may last a second. That is good enough. Don't be greedy to have more. In the greed to have more, you have already created the centre, and then you are caught."

suitability works more than size.
size is more marketing oriented, it is a trick of propaganda and gossip

What is positive? What if I spend my life killing homeless people or the elderly to lessen the strain on humanity, and make things more aesthetically pleasing for the rest of us. What if I get elected to congress and sponsor a bill to tax people who make over $200,000 a year 70% to distribute to people who make under $40,000 a year. Who would see this as positive...or negative?

A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Humans tend to be positively motivated.
Even when someone does something you think is terrible, they have rationalized their actions.
We are far more likely to conclude that someone has acted with cruel intentions than they are to act with said intentions.
