If someone puts paper towel on a paper plate and then fresh shrooms over the paper tower and plate and then put it under a box or somethibg in the dark on a shelf would this work to dry them out in 2 days?

Definitely not they would probably rot if u put something over it without a fan or something. Everyone recommends a dehydrator. U can get one for $35 on Amazon or Wal-Mart. If your too broke at least put it in front of a fan for a few days.

I would recommend lightbulb drying before airdrying.

I dont want anyone sketched out about a fan being left on 24/7 as i was already asked about it. I also cant get a dehydrator at this timw id need a while. I'll just take off the hat and leave em fanned throughout the night and just leave em out during the day unfanned. Is that any better?

You can let them dry out in the open without anything but there never going to be completely cracker dry and the alkaloids wont keep as well. If you just growing small amount that u will eat soon I guess it won’t matter that much.

Bake Epsom salt($5 @ target) for 2hrs at 300°, allow to cool, put in a bin, put newspaper ontop, put mushrooms ontop of paper, close lid, wait two days. Cracker dry....

Instead of battling mould and other contamination that'll take a hold of your fresh shrooms while trying to air dry them, just make some tea. It's as simple as chopping them up, and boiling them for a while.
Alternatively:
Finely dice or mash up the shrooms. Cover with lemon juice. Set aside for half an hour. Towards the end, prep a pot of tea. Pull out the tea bags or infuser, and throw the lemon/mushroom mixture. Simmer for half an hour. Filter the mushroom chunks out. Divide the liquid based on the amount of mushrooms you started off with. Store in fridge or freezer.
