You have a dilemma on your hands, that bottom has a nice pin set, to bad you couldn't throw it on a rack of some sort.

I'm just thinking theoretically not sure how well the substrate would hold up, but I wonder if you'd be able to lift one side up to an angle, or even stand vertically length-wise with some sort of support to keep the balance. Then you'll have shrooms growing from both sides.

haha . would be kind of epic if the thing pinned 360 degrees.
I'm thinking maybe flip one tub... for science. and see the outcome of each.

That fuzzyness you see there has gotten way worse. Should I be fanning? The lids flipped and I have been leaving lid off for about an hour a day for last cpl days.

They look good! Don't really notice the fuzziness. And not too shabby for flipping the whole thing over.
If your sub wanted to pin out the bottom and they are smaller than normal shrooms, more than likely the sub was over field capacity. I wouldn't be disappointed in that result though.
Edit: Went back to your first post and saw you didn't use a top layer of coir over the grains. I did the same as you, made my first tub with exposed grains and couldn't get the surface conditions right. It pinned out the sides. Someone recommended to spawn with a thin layer of coir over the top, and it helped a ton. Would definitely give it a shot next time.

Why would all the side pins be meaty and large and the ones on top small.
From searching you "too much water". "not enough water"
Confused

well, your top was your bottom. The sides stayed the sides. You weren't destined to have optimal results. If you spawned over field capacity you get smaller shrooms that open early. Whats the confusion?

That was your first flush. Mushrooms are often small on your first flush, coupled with being over field capacity (was he definitely over?! He said there were parts of the coir that had actually dried out?) they were destined to be small. Plus you've no idea of the genetics you're working with.
Next flush may be bigger. You have a finite amount of nutrients/energy in there that can be used to produce mushrooms. As long as it doesn't contaminate which is highly unlikely with it being just coir, and you keep providing it with water, then it will keep producing mushrooms until it runs out of said energy/nutrients. So regardless of the mushroom size you should still end up with the same overall weight of mushrooms. Happy days. It's just preferable to expend that energy with larger mushrooms so that the energy is used faster, before the potential for contamination to set it.
You've done well for your first grow. Most people don't even get this far and it's all a learning curve.
