:heytheresexy:

VIRIDIS!!! Those results speak for themselves! Well done

I have 3 separate sets of papuana genetics(none from NZ yet ) but they all seem to split into the same two types of myc. A white slightly thinner myc than zaps and an extremely thin yellowish myc. Are these results from the white or yellowish myc?

How long would you say it took to see pins? What type of FAE did they require?

Well it's been nearly another month, and my project looks to be almost unchanged from the last update. No sign of contamination, or any other issues apparent, just seems stalled. I know the Zaps are slow, but we're approaching 90 days from spawning to sub. It seems to be in the straw, though not completely, and I don't see any advancement into the casing layer at all.

Do you think this could be a gas exchange issue perhaps? Still worried about contamination getting in there, but if I need to let some more fresh air in to revitalize progress I'm willing to give it a try.

I'm still working on the Zaps FAE needs issue, but I have had several zap genetics pin with very low FAE. For example, I've had them pin in a grain jar with a standard grain spawn lid with the tiny holes and SFD filter. My current setup is low FAE and I get pins regularly. My last flush with that setup was something like 50 pins and a whole ONE made it to 2"! PROGRESS!

To stay sane with zaps you have to just make a routine around "Set and forget". I spray the inside of the lids to my tubs once a day without fanning and that's about it.

*Keep in mind that I am working with a pin cluster clone and a dish pin clone

It has been a few weeks since I misted that one time-- but I'm not stressing on it too much, just marveling at the incredibly slow process-- and since the interior of my container cover contains quite a bit more air than a jar, I suppose I'll not be too concerned about strangling them after all-- thanks for the reply

I'm right there with you, Coastal. Mine have been in fruiting since late March.
No contams. Everything looks fine. I am going to keep going until I can't. I am seeing
slight incursions into the casing here and there, but not a lot.

had not much to report for a while and super busy

but trying to fruit pseudoaztecorum now   also got spores of aztecorum so hope i could do a little research on the relationship between them in the future. first fruits of course... any tips? I have quite a few trays, trying different things. most cased with pasteurized coir and potting soil 50-50.

It is kinda warm though. Room temp seems like it should be okay from what ive seen but in the coming days it will get to 30C outside.

Also really psyched i hope to be getting true hoogs and secotioid weraroa which have been my holy grails for *quite some time!

wow those papuanas look fantastic, beautiful clusters

The myc of these grows quite white and dense. Likes oats and millet and probably other grains these are just the type I used. Fast growing when temps are in the 70's. This particular fruiting pix here is from Heyowana's print. The other culture I have from Bobwastaken looks about the same. Readily consuming grains. FAE is nothing more than in a mono tub misted couple times a day if that and left near the window. I think the myc I have consolidating 1/2 gallon sterilized mix will produce larger mushrooms than grain grown mushrooms. Haven't tried any of these yet but Heyownana has a trip report. Said they are quite strong and his personal favorite

Well I have this jar of semilianceata spawn... I know it’s a saprobic species that feeds off decaying grass roots and I believe it was workman that was able to cult it indoors using grass seed spawn and Hpoo. I know it’s next to impossible that’s not what I need to hear I’m aware, I’m asking to see if anyone possibly has any at all suggestions or advice for the upcoming steps I’m going to be taking. Anyone that has tryed and failed or successfully done this.

Hey all,

This is the first time I'm working with p. zapotecorum and wanted to see if you could help identify the mycelium below. Other than the blatently contam spots, does this look okay? I pulled the swab from the middle and some agar came with, hence the bald patch. If this is healthy mycelium, where should I transfer from?

Looks cob-webby, not like mycelium

Here's a good Zap culture:
