Perfect timing. Copied from PM topic..
.25g ATP + .5g Sucrose in a weak to standard 500ml MEA or PDA recipe seems to be where the groove is most of the time. Anything more than .3g seems to inhibit. Seems to work better with some activated charcoal in the mix which I don't really weigh. Maybe .2-.5g, just enough to opacify. Which is way more than enough to detoxify. Anyways, it's very much a work in progress, but I like what I've seen so far. Things in general seem to pop a little faster than the control plates.
To clarify, I haven't been trying it long and we are talking less than probably 60-70 plates. Of those maybe four control plates have germinated (all PDA) within 24 hours of the treated plates. Other controls have taken from several days to weeks and a few have failed completely where treated did not.
It doesn't seem to support long term growth/storage well either. Often the mycelium will be very thin until transferred to a standard mix. Next time I'm going to use less and see if it's not still an inhibition thing, Sucrose also changes the surface tension of agar so I may try a batch without or less of it.
So that's what I've got for now. Might be nothing.. might be something.

Here's a nicely rounded article. Cellular Respiration
I should probably start a journal. Just got back from a rabbit hole regarding sugars. It looks like Glucose is what we want for electrons, which seem to be key. I have Sucrose for plant tissue culture because plants like it better and it packs more energy than Glucose. I wonder if something like Amylase might be helpful here. Pseudo-Science sucks.

Found another fire up on the save agar last night. New personal record for spore age.. for exotics anyways. I didn't have an exact year, but these were labelled as Psilocybe Villarrealiae so it would put it back to about 10-12 years old. I believe now they are reclassified as Caerulescens Murrill. The original spores were from Alan and Cactu's 07-08 Jalisco excursions. These were some of the hardest to clean up from that package. It took a few years and lots of frustration to get them up and running. Pretty excited about this one.

Psilocybe Samuiensis T1 day 5 Looks like it's going to continue sectoring. This one is my favorite out of six. Still really early though. I said seven before, but that included the germ plate lol.

I was just thanking them for that lol. Yeah this time it's the old phone with a better camera and an under cabinet light. Still need to crop them to get my dumb fingers and eyes out.

Dog hair was on the lid so there may be some hope.

The rule also applies to cannabis pics.
Here's some Caerulescens SC moving through BRF.

Going to T1 Tonila off of the Savgar (trade mark R) tomorrow. Soaking grains now for what's left of the germ plate after. Probably drop a little in some LC as well.

Makarorae. These seem very easy, but also I spawned this basket almost 12 months ago so they do take patience, they seem productive. I am working on the details and will share shortly.

The bigger one still has that cortina type veil, much more robust looking veil than its close relatives but very similar. No sign of spore deposits yet and the gills look very pale.
