That was a good one back in the day. We had the same isolate from Professor Pinhead. Good to see it around again.

Caerulescens fruit under the same conditions as Cubensis. A little to the cool side doesn't hurt.

Beauties! That’s hopeful
I have them in my Martha with a Xico cube grow. The cubes are fruiting + sucking up the moister and the caerulescens are just getting soggy.

Hoping to get a new clean print. I was working from a wild print from Georgia USA.

Try separating them and let them dry a bit, then moisten the casing again. Rinse, lather, repeat as needed. Don't let them sit too wet too long.

I've found a little over lay can actually be a good thing too.

CF is a mycological wizard, no doubt.  The papuana fruits are looking pretty wild.  They've been developing now for 3 weeks, but the caps still have not opened.  I'll give it a bit longer to see about a print, but I need to harvest and clone at some point. Above the green line is where I got it all correct.

Hang in there, paups can be very resilient until opening their caps. Here is a pic of my first successful paups to maturity. See how the early growth on mine looks similar to yours?

I had to keep adjusting the FAE and RH until I got it right but once I did they opened beautifully.

There he is! Sorry, not pertinent to the thread. Just been wondering lol.

Wood isn't necessary. They'll fruit fine from shredded straw. Though the sawdust and coir would be interesting.

PF jars will work also.. just replace the dry verm with a casing layer after colonization.

Thanks!

It's been a long time since I've grown any.. old pics. Need to fix that lol. As you can see the fruit size is relative to the sub size. They can get quite large.

Great... So they'll never fruit in my apartment.

Maybe I'll get some going for outdoors. I should wash some jars.

They'll fruit in the low to mid 70's as well.
:awesomenod:
They don't like anything above 78-ish and all to easily abort. Even when mature.

I've got a good feeling this time around. Last time was kind of like a first Zapo grow lol. It's one of those 'you need a couple tries under your belt' things.
Only this time.. I got a lot more belt.

Psilocybe Samuiensis germinated in 4 days.

Two plates and a no pour all with multiple germination spots. I'll get pics when you can actually see it lol.

Not as good as yours.

Psilocybe Samuiensis Day 7

Still trying for a better top shot. Things are thin on this agar which was actually for reviving old spores.. which is working btw. I have ignition from 5 year old Zapotecorum (Barrerae) and 7 year old Caerulescens (Tonila). Also very thin so I'm sure it's the agar. I put more to a batch of PDA the other day. Got another batch of grain agar to cook and pour as well.
Shits going on.

:excited:

Probably going to T1 the first batch this weekend. Going to take them to some grain agar and MEA. See how that goes.

The agar in that pick is very weak grain agar with some ATP. Great for firing up old spores but not so much after that.
Should see something from the PDA if not tonight, over the next few days. I'm getting over loaded here  but exotics are seasonal here too and it's time to ride the wave for the next six months.. if I'm lucky. Last Spring sucked for anything indoors.
