How does one transfer spores off of a paper print? Curious what people are doing that works

Yes, I do! I have some in substrate now actually waiting for fruits.
It's the strangest mycelium I have ever worked with.

I have some yungensis on agar and in substrate which should be somewhat similar to neoxalapensis (both in sect. Cordisporae)
Definitely the strangest i’ve seen. It colonized fast and aggressively. In substrate it’s behaving like a classic wood lover, eating everything I throw at it and pissing all over the place

The yungensis looks happy, what sub are you using Scapo?
This first run I'm using CVG! Next run I'm going to use a wood based substrate

From what I've seen, this species is definitely capable of delivering canopies!
This looks great!! What substrate did you use?

Haven't posted in a while but finally back with some fun updates! Got the real Psilocybe hoogshagenii colonizing agar and substrate, sequenced and confirmed. I'll be posting updates into this journal but here is a preview: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28537207

Some photos from the wild collection:

It's a fan of brf cakes & similar, and for this first round of testing, I used a blend of peat / coco / verm / oak&hickory pellets / hemp fibers / mulch to see if it would colonize it and so far it is!

Thank you! Part of my journey will be getting these out there into the community as soon as i'm able
I have been sharing cultures of it where I can with other local legends, prints are easier for sharing elsewhere

Started journal entries on several species with more to come. Figured I'd better get on it now lol.

You can actually get 1,2,4mL, and even more! I found that the 2mL suffices because it can fit 3-6 wedges with 1.5mL distilled water easy.
They're great because they can be sterilized prefilled with water and they are made for cryogenic temperatures, so there is no concern about their longevity at fridge temps

The method is referred to as "Castellani's method" which is used pretty widely in fungal research for the long term storage of mycelium!

I do! The original method stored their samples at room temperature. But I prefer the fridge.
