So I understand that using MS syringe, even from a reputable vendor, will undoubtedly still introduce bacteria into my grain jars. I’m very close to getting clean agar down but until then, I’ve been doing shoeboxes. I recognize now I’ve had bacterial problems but I’m wondering if my PC and environment may also be exacerbating the problem. Anyways a few questions: 1) I use a T-fall PC and it does not go all the way to 15 psi even on high heat setting. It goes to 14.5psi but levels out at that. I have to leave the stove on 7/9 (no lower) just to maintain 14.5psi. It has a pressure release valve with 1,2 and 3 on it.
1. Will 14.5psi sufficiently sterilize my grains and jars? - If not, can I go longer like 2 hrs instead of 1.5 hours to sterilize?
2. Can room temp fluctuations cause condensation on the inside of my grain jars? - I feel like it’s sweating inside my jars all the time. My room temp ranges from 65 to 77 degrees, multiple times throughout the day.

Common sense is like deodorant, the ones who need it the most, seem to use it the least.
