I did a search here & in Google for clues to what this is. This is a 1st generation agar to agar mycelium clone. What is this stuff that looks like milky white candle wax? The mycelium growth in the middle looks good. I did a few other plates at the same time, they have a perfect fuzzy colony, but a couple have this white smear.

I tried posting to gallery, got message site was experiencing tech difficulties 😕. But thanks for the tip. I searched a lot for examples of this but came up dry. Mold makes sense why it doesn't look like bacteria.
