Yeah it will also help with prices, cactus demand is going up for both ornamental and shamanic cacti. So it can be pretty profitable, but as competition goes up and they become more common it will make them more affordable for consumers.

Also I'd wager Mescaline is "illegal" in many asian countries like China sense they seem strict about certain drugs, so the cactus are probably legal for "ornamental" use. Some are probably eaten but the sellers play it safe I bet, it's a business for them after all.

I bought a few from Thailand and they were shipping them globally under a different cactus name some other random ornamental cactus with "LW" in the title, but they were clearly peyote. Pretty ballsy

Thailand has a big peyote farming market, not surprising it's happening in China too. Many are degrafts though, which have smaller roots and are probably less potent. Since it's easier/faster to mass farm grafted peyote.
