I was wondering, if anyone knows or maybe tried testing the acidity of the wood chips that these types of fungi are doing well in ?
Also what would you estimate (guess?) the harvested types are ? Eg, 50% subs, 40% seccos etc
(hope you get what I’m trying to say)
Also if you are a young maori guy walking a big white pitty around Porirua , you look really obvious what you are doing.

Have a heavy/sedation/body stone ( sorta ) and strong eye red eyed (like a strong weed hit) bit to them as well as the normal effects. Not sure why, feels like it 's a long time (years ) production mycelium base. Also I have a urge to tip a beer or two around a few patches for some reason.
Normal subs ?, wanting to start collecting some other "exotic " types now, and the $50 note one -picture only
Couple questions, I've got a softball sized amount of lower stems and ground clump mycelium , any chance of it "finding a way " to survive relocation at this time of year for future production. (Also about a 300km move.)
what's the newest/fresh woodchip you have seen strains ?, everything I ever find is in dark aged chip, so more old-school playgrounds than new-ish subdivisions.
And I'm sure it's been asked before, would a cubes strain (GT) be able to be introduced into a self sustaining environment in NZ ?
Dont know if any new bees would like a couple tips. When scouting or harvesting, I will harvest and leave in piles rather than walking around with a bag full, then I pick them up when I leave, and another helpful tip is to pick up rubbish as you go.I have been complimented a few times for tidying up bottles etc., can harvest almost while they are talking to you, and be polite especially if it's going to be a regular spot (locals know when something's different, except palmys cop station staff apparently - anyone know if he was wearing a fluro vest and carrying a ladder ?,walking a friendly dog, picking up rubbish, etc. when you try to be "stealthy or not seen " you look pretty sketchy usually.
Hide your harvest up under dashboard or around the motor when driving home, easier than being pulled over for something else and having them be a problem. I was once pulled over (25yrs ago) with a large bag shrooms ,couple oz weed, iso in the boot and a few "A" substances, in a primer gray cortina, pretty much was asking for it, luckily they were called away before I had to say anything, now I only carry what I need at the time, not excessive quantities that I could lose or end up giving away.

Hi there everyone, question for those that dry harvested subs, i know that they should be “cracker” dry ,but should the cap crumble up easily ?
I have had mine in a dehydrator which has left the cap more leather like and don’t want to over dehydrate if that’s as far as they go. Planning on using “OO” capsules for end storage. What do you think they should take in weight to fill each one ?
Cheers

Hopefully not breaking any rule, but I am curious to know if anyone ever been offered or known about mushrooms being sold ?,(In NZ) not just a mate selling but like at a tinny house or similar.
And has anyone here been arrested for picking /possession etc and not just a by-product of another matter ?

Couple of waeroa found in Waitomo , a mushroom funeral I came across and my hunting partner, she’s not very good, it’s like she doesn’t understand the difference in mushrooms.

Try telling her that, hard enough for her to understand English let alone starting Latin.
Mate had some sort of Chinese dog, kept barking at us. I looked at her and her eyes told me “how the fuck would I know what he’s saying, have I ever barked in Chinese ?
Though “yeah fair enough “
