A lack of either can cause fruits to try to "reach" for conditions were there is more of either. Is your light source close, far? If you were lighting from the side, and they reach toward the light, for instance, that could indicate that they need more light. I light from the side, but close, and I get stocky fruits which grow straight up. I think most people try to stay away from fans here (am I right?). More or less FAE can be easily adjusted with lid orientation.
Also, slight clarification, probably just because I'm an ass. Your lights are 6500 K, not 6.5 K. That's referred to as "temperature" because it's color normalized to the temperature of a black-body light source radiator which emits a comparable color, the K stands for Kelvin. Not that you needed to know any of that
Got some nice knotting in those tubs

Yeah I’m going to let a few out, but I’m going to wait until I have some good iso’s for the most part. The MS caps are a fourth or less of the size they could be with a lil lab work. That way they are fatty boombadaddys

Lmao at the 6.5k thing.
I'm growing in a closet with stagnant air so at least a small fan is needed regardless of the lid adjustment, I did swap the lids out for bags with holes in them and am going to rearrange my space so the light is closer to the boxes

A little sneak peak on some novelty grows I have in the works.

Went to the antique mall downtown and found four new novelty pieces! These will be all GH.
Got some PM spawn ready as well for more novelty containers, and four shoeboxes.
It’s going to be fun!!!

Looks like a blower, likely different speeds...
And yes, 12qt bootbox... have a shoebox and 6 bags as well... had no GE on the bags first few days and they're kicking a smell like bread mold... both boxes look fantastic

Hey all. Been kinda quiet but still here messing around reading, playing with agar and a few shoeboxes. Here's a bit of eye candy.... no outrageous canopys, but I'ma liken it!
An AA+ shoe box, its had 3 flushes: these were from 3rd flush, the biggest fruits I've grown so far!
This one was from 2nd flush, No pic on scale, it was 48gms... sooo close to 50, which is what I've been shooting for, for some reason.
These were first flush mushies, I love the bluing of these. First time growing AA+, I LOVE the look of em! Very organic, curves and flows... if that makes sense.... stoned right now.
Got more good stuff coming too, couple more grows,, some agar fun that Ive got some questions about AND I'm building a flowhood and gonna put up a detailed build thread on it!

Pretty far off topic for this thread so I'll be brief. Google is pretty good for identifying wire color for speed controller blowers. You can also use a multimeter to check resistance of each wire to identify it's speed.

ShaperDreaming said: How many quarts of spawn did you use and what was your ratio? Also, is this a 66qt mono? (just collecting information here, trying to make dicks and not blobs happen, and shoeboxes are tough for tat)
if you follow this link https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24558634 and still get blobs then I recommend starting over from spore
I've read this and used most of the tips from it besides the 50/50 (because I had heard them second hand before reading this). I currently have all the items for the 50/50 and am waiting on grains to colonize and consolidation to move forward.
I've used other tips, just the tips, which have gotten other people good results, and still blobs. (full consolidation, extra casing layers). Shoeboxes seem to be the toughest for them, so I'm collecting info anyways.
If I get blobs... I'm going to go back to spore... yeah.
So first thing, I really don't know if those are PE yet. They look like some pheno of PE and some of the stems are fat asses the cap just goes kinda straight up but it's totally possible I mislabeled something or made a mistake because it's odd there is not a single blob or mutant or anything
Far as the method goes, you should try this anyways cause it seems to work for a lot of people.
I went with FrankHorrigans's method of casing PE. Link - Casing layer reduces PE blobs
Basically just properly pasteurized jiffy mix for the casing (the stuff with only verm, peat, lime and sometimes a wetting agent). When the tub is 100% colonization you case. Then fruiting conditions when that has partially colonized. I've done this to 3 tubs so far and only this one has no blobbing. I bet it's a different variety

Never really had a desire to cult AA+ but those are pigs, I may have to dust off a print. Loving the density like a wise old oak tree.
When you finish your hood if you'd like to post it here I'd appreciate it. Flowhood designs are hard to track down here so I thought it would be helpful to put them in one spot but it didn't really catch on. Simple or high tech all can benefit.
