So I said that...i never understood the people who claim they can tell distinct differences in weed highs between strains. Like when people say things like "the OG kush makes me social while the grand daddy purp helps pain"

I never understood this. For me, all weed highs are the same. Even when it comes to sativa and indica, it's all the same exact high and I couldn't tell the difference in a blind test

What's your opinion on the subject?

Sativa doesn't give energetic highs and indica doesn't give couchlock highs. You are experiencing placebo

Dropping the sativa and indica label from what they stated, just talking about those strains and not their sativa or indica label.....

.....I personally do notice a difference between those two strains .


Durban Poison has a pretty heady and uplifting high for me, very cerebral and in the head and focused (and I'm pretty sure Durban Poison is one of the few strains out there that produces the rare cannabinoid THC-V)....And Purple Kush is like the epitome of a mellow & relaxing smoke for me, much more somatic and in the body, slows down my mind, tranquil.

I'm not saying it's because one is considered a sativa and one is considered an indica, that's just the sort of effects I personally experience from those strains. They are towards different ends of the spectrum for me.

They both have a unique aroma/essence too...those two strains smell dramatically different from one another.
