My idea of a good Friday night: doing AC wiring and setting up some reasonable lighting for my shoeboxes, while drinking cheap liqour. Honestly, if you don't feel comfortable doing this kind of thing while drinking, you probably shouldn't be doing it at all. One of them is 3500K but oh well . Some shop lights would have been my preference but space is limited and I had these CFLs on hand

New jars.  Not a new design by any means, but I like it because it’s cheap and easy to change filters.  I can literally buy a roll of this foam for 3$.  Opted for normal mouths.  I have to chop my grains out with a sanitized chop stick most of the time no matter what, and my hands hurt because I am old— these are so easy to open for me.  Also I love these jars without all the font and bullshit.

I put ports not for ms but because I anticipate getting into Lc soonish.

I suggest getting the "autoclavable plastic" lids like they sell on Fungi Perfecti, it's less than 20$ for 100. I've used the ones for mason jars but I've had warping issues - they're not meant for PC/ cycle/canning, just as a storage lid.
I heat up the back of a drill bit with a torch and put a 1/2" hole thru.
I pop an SFD up under and it keeps in place - but you can also use polyfill which is the next best lid material IMO.

This below is what I use- although it's a gallon spawn jar so they are big lids.

I gotta say though if you need a chopstick to break up your grain it's likely contaminated with bacteria , a good clean spawn jar should break apart easy with a few light smacks

Love the jars, where are you getting them without a glass label?

Ball makes ones with no Mark's now too. I have to be careful with them while whipping them down with iso in front of my flow hood. Frigging end up fumbling and shit because there so slick.

That's pretty thick on the mush! I wound up around .12-.14 I think. If I eat a few at once I can taste mush tea.

This is so crazy, I was planning on making some for a few nights now. Just letting the liquid emulsify or w/e before getting the gelatin ready.

I learned how to make medible gummies the other week and my team can't get enough, it's enough for me to try it with some psilocybin and report back with some strange results.

Purple? Orange? I have my library of jellos already ready now that I'm into this, but I think I'm stick with the classic blue... and lots of honey

“Hey chef, mind if I borrow this for a few days??”

^^^ me knowing my chefs a massive stoner and hoping he forgets about this whole interaction.

The tray did cut my drying time down from about an hour and a half to a half hour, sooooo the kitchen can do without more than I can....

Basically just a commercial grade perforated sheet pan.  About 18” by 28”.

They’re used for drying/crisping (is that a word?) things. Only time they really get used at my work is when the asshole smoking the wings decides he doesn’t want to wash off a normal tray and dumps them in this guy, which then leaks onto literally ALL the prep I did that day... hence why I need the magical fruits in my life, or a bottle of whiskey

Thanks!  To be honest, even I was pumped when I thought of this one, haha. Next step is to see if the chef can get bulk grains.... worked for WFM for 10 years and with the employee discount and the “case discount” was able to get 25lbs bags of Hard Winter Berries for under $30....
Unfortunately things have changed and I’m seeking other routes, hahaha
