No way man.
What would you do to fix it if you could do anything?
Economic tariffs, stop immigration, infrastructure investment, reverse the tax cuts for the wealthy is just a start in my opinion. We have to remember that Trump promised all of those items on the campaign- yet nothing.
Obviously, Trump could never do those acts because it would cost The Elite trillions of dollars, so it wasn't ever going to happen.
What tarrfs do you want?

What exactly has trump managed to achieve? Not talking about policy. I’m talking about results.
Our trade situation is worse than it ever has been. Job growth is no better than what Obama had. GDP growth is no better than Obama. The tax cut bill has been a massive disappointment, and is blowing up the deficit. The stock market had its first losing year since 2008. American life expectancy is decreasing. The country has never been this divided in my lifetime. No wall. No Korean denuclearization. We’ve cozied up to the worst leaders in the worst countries. the rest of the world doesn’t trust us. We are a laughing stock.

As far as I can tell that’s code for people who want to say racist things but act as though they aren’t racist.
At most it’s a ridiculous over simplification of the truth. My Aunt and her family aren’t racists and don’t care about political correctness either way, but they voted Trump and did so because their insurance premiums were too high. Obviously Trump has done exactly nothing to fix that, in fact he’s probably made it worse, but that’s their reasoning. When you point out that Trump’s a retard and has no clue what he’s talking about they still defend him though. It’s hard for people to admit they were wrong I guess.

They don’t think they were wrong though. They think everyone else is. Even in the face of this farcical administration.

Trump was the result of a politically correct backlash, the MSM refused to report the building resentment and of course it was a big surprise to everybody that lived in a bubble. Looking back at it, it was inevitable.
So what you’re saying is trump got elected because white people agent allowed to say the n word anymore?
Nice strawman, the PC culture has infested into too many parts of US society and people are sick of it. If they speak out about it, they're automatically labeled a racist, they are keeping their mouths shut and voting for people like Trump now. The same thing is occurring in the EU as well now.

Whatever level is takes to have a balance of trade in the US. If that means a -50% tariff on products, so be it.
The tariffs Trump established were obviously nothing more than a joke, anyone could tell it would make no difference at all.

No, it's more about being forced feed PC nonsense at school and in the labor market. Being told to stop being "racist/sexist" in those places just for existing is highly insulting, that's how good "cultural diversity training" works.
Also, having Obama lecture the white population on race relations every 5 minutes didn't help either, all it did was build up resentment.

Define force feeding. Define PC nonsense.
Nobody is chastising anyone for existing (unless you’re an illegal immigrant).
Your victim complex is laughable.

Come on, every public school, university and large corporation is heavily focused on "equality, diversity, inclusion, racial sensitivity, women and minorities" because they are now mandated to do so by the government.
We both know the motives behind it and what demographic isn't included, but falls into the perpetrator role by default.
"your victim complex"
I'm offering you a very rational reason why Trump got elected. I'm trying to explain why so many moderates got Trump elected, this has nothing to do with me.

The experiences of one do not negate those of another. My trivial problems are as important to me as the "more serious" problems of another are to them. I actually agree with the sentiment of your post but I do want to point out that yes, constantly being bombarded with the message that you are essentially a bad person because of your skin color is...tiresome...whatever color that skin happens to be. Turning it into a pissing contest of who was/is more put upon is counterproductive and only serves to further entrench people in beliefs of things like "white genocide", etc.
Edit: to be clear, i'm not saying that calling out racists is the genesis of racism. I am saying that the perpetrators of racism are as vulnerable to it's effects as anyone else. They don't like it applied to them and bludgeoning them with it only serves to make them huddle tighter in their enclaves. This, in turn, makes it harder to rehabilitate subsequent generations.

Apples and oranges, one is based on government mandates and the other is based on potential biases by the general public.

Well, when someone suggests all things being equal, I'm going to point out the existing differences before the discussion goes any further.

no need to get hung up on little differences. The similarities are there in sufficient quantity to infer things.

So to you, not being allowed to discriminate means a heavy focus on "equality, diversity, inclusion, racial sensitivity, women and minorities"???
