do not apply water, it will increase the chance of rot

a lot of people use sulphur

i would assume by now most of the slime has gone into the ether

keeping it dry is more important than disinfecting

finally allowed back in the pub after yet another unjust ban by he who shall not be named.

She's been cinnamon'd and seems to be doing alright so far. I'm simply too lazy to upload pictures. It wouldn't make an impressive shot anyway

No freaking clue why raven thought I was a troll but apparently I'm not allowed to defend myself without being banned so

I wouldn't have watered it, or put cinnamon on it....but it shouldn't make a difference. From what I understand it's better to let cacti recover before watering in situations like that.
It'll probably callous over, start putting out new growth, and be just fine....but that's depending on the damage of course. Got a picture?

If you put a fan on low, far enough away you can get it to seal in a few hours.  Real light breeze. That’ll keep most infections out while it callouses for a few weeks and then like you said the cacti will figure out where to carry on at.  I don’t know about cinnamon but water probably equals a higher chance of making the whole thing mush.

It really is almost universal with cacti, if you have a problem just leave them alone.  Neglect tek is key with cacti, I love them for that..
