In a very literal sense, your genes didn't take part in shit, my man. They didn't exist until they were created within your parent's gametes that subsequently combined to form the you.

Reading comprehension: IF my genes partook in it, I share some of the same traits.

My beloved mother and I share many of the same traits, we're more connected than me and your mother through genetic variations. Just like white people are more connected genetically. And black people are more connected genetically.

You probably think you're smart now pointing out that you know your mother and you didn't know your ancestor. That knowledge stems from genes. You wouldn't "love" your mother if it weren't for your genetical similarities. Mother-son "love". It's survival mechanism. Just like ancestry. Survivalism.
