Pragmatism in international relations should be a prerequisite for whom to support in political office. For all of Trump's 'offensive' rhetoric, he was more of a peace-maker than all of the last (at least) 4 presidents combined. A president's job is to primarily serve the peaceful co-existence of the American people. It is not in America's interests to go forth into the world seeking monsters to destroy or to vainly attempt to 'reform' those that cannot be 'reformed'.

A great philosopher once stated, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." I am not one to fawn over any religious dogmas, but I must give credit where credit is due. No religion, no political persuasion, no country and most essentially, no individual can claim a monopoly on truth or moral action. Trump is flawed (as are we all), but he, in his own pragmatic way, did much more to maintain peace than the current diaper wearing clown in-chief. For this alone, our opinions should be re-examined.
