The point I guess I'm making is that many of you do not understand the view of the right. Most likely because of your blinding hate for Trump.

Bush, Cheney, Romney etc are Rino's which is the same thing as a Libtard. They have controlled both parties for decades. They control the media, they control the FBI, they control most everything, they own controlling interest in most industries. etc etc.....

What you're referring to is "Neocons" and "Neoliberals", or "centrists", "corporatists", "the ruling elite". You have identified a problem that we are all aware of in American politics, but you have misidentified the culprit.

I honestly don't think most Republicans would disagree with many left wing ideals, if they understood the true perspective of real lefties, as opposed to the strawman. We on the left support democratization of the workplace, government programs that facilitate and encourage the creation of Mondragon-like worker cooperatives, and German style worker councils. Our priorities are both economic and social, but I think anyone who is serious can plainly see that accomplishing our economic goals will have a downstream effect of accomplishing our social goals, as financial equality leads to other forms of equality.

We do not believe in authoritarian enforcement of our ideals, as that has been shown not to work throughout the world. We support empowerment of workers. Change happens from the bottom up.

Getting wrapped up in political figures and all of their scandals, distracts the people from what we ought to be focusing on. No president, senator, or representative is going to empower the people. It's just not human nature.

So no, I don't want to see Trump hung, as I said in an earlier post. I don't really care, honestly. He is a symptom of a disease. He is not the cause.

Its not about political ideology anymore. My entire family has been life long democrats up until recently.

They let fentanyl pour right into our country. They intentionally divide and turn American against each other. They are bankrupting us and attempting to take away 2nd amendment rights. The border, ending our energy independence, the Jabs, psych meds, puberty blockers. Throwing patriots out of the military, the zombie heard's of immigrants.. They cant even teach kids the basic abc's anymore.

This has become more war like then political ideology. I can't go to the grocery store without running into someone who I haven't see in years saying the same shit that im saying. Its right outside your window about to kick your door down at this point.

It certainly does seem that way.

I don't call myself a "Democrat", so I won't defend them, but I do consider myself left wing. When you identify as a Democrat, or a Republican, in our current political climate, it is an endorsement of the divisive sort of tribalism you're talking about. When you flame against 'libtards', and designate fellow citizens as your enemy, you lose sight of the real enemy.

Ideology is important. That is why you should vote based on the issues, and not party affiliation. There are good people on both sides. I used to hate Republicans. I used to get so angry with them, and eventually I realized that that was not the answer. In fact, in many ways, that is the source of the problem.

When Hillary Clinton was nominated by the Democratic party, I refused to vote. I will vote for an inspiring candidate. A candidate who I feel endorses causes and views that I share. I would vote for a Republican who endorsed democratization of the workplace, a government that promoted worker cooperatives, and German style worker councils to keep corporate America in check.

Much of the corruption in Washington is because big business controls Washington, and politicians benefit from their relationships with corporate America in many ways, including personal financial gain. If workers controlled those businesses, and how they conducted themselves politically, I believe it would reduce corruption significantly.

By the way, I don't think anyone here supports puberty blockers lol... Maybe I'm wrong.

That's hilarious to me
Wether you voted for Hillary or Bernie you were voting for the same party . You could of had 80% of what you wanted but you chose to make the whole thing about a single man who promised you shit he never could have delivered and you got nothing
Bernie or bust gave you nothing .  Some Bernie supporters are just as gullible and fanatical as Trump supporters IMO .

I strongly disagree.  Hillary would have given me nothing I want, only corporate welfare.  Bernie at least gave the appearance that he was for the people and would push for things like Medicare for All.

I have a co-worker than gets so fired up about things. I totally hear him on and agree with him on so many points he makes. We have a very similar POV on many things, but he points the finger and his hatred towards the "Democrats" as the sole root/cause of all of our issues and thinks the Republicans are our savior and only hope to fix everything.

I lean left but I do not consider myself to be or identify as a D...I don't fall into that nasty divide/dichotomy, the whole thing just creates tribalism/divide and makes arguments go in circles and fingers pointing at the "other side"/"them".

It is wild how polarized/split this country has become, how people fall into the game of "one or the other", "us and them".

You didn't get corporate welfare with Trump ? You  got one of America's biggest  beneficiaries  of corporate welfare .
All I wanted was for the election not to be fucked with .

It's still the Democratic Party , Democrats aren't fanatics for their leader , Bernie wasn't going to turn it a cult and fundamentally change everything .
How do you suppose he would have been able to get Medicare for All  passed ?
Bernie and Hillary both wanted  basically same thing but they wanted to achieve it in different ways.
What's the difference between universal health coverage and Medicare for all to a person like me who likes his private health care and doesn't want to HAVE  to depend on the govt for  their health care ?
Not much , except the part where it takes something away from me that I like so I voted for Hillary .
I didn't think there was any way Bernie could have passed much of what he wanted but  watching him try would have been better than watching Trump try  to destroy the voting process .
I still would have voted for Bernie , I'm not so selfish I would have thought  having Trump as President to teach people who believe in unicorns and thought Medicare for all could happen a lesson was a good idea .

I agree awell..

But it seems the Democrats are trying to end the Republican party once and for all, not only that but trying to end all political decent including censoring or ending all media that opposes their views, the same way that China has been doing with the Social Credit System. Its like having a overlord who decide morality for the masses and punishes any who relies on common sense or natural human instincts. I see nothing Democratic with what is coming our way.

My use of the term Libtards shouldn't really be insulting to liberals or Dems anymore then the term Rino should be to those who voted Bush into office 3x. Those who should be offended are those still asleep to what is really happening. And I don't really care about that.

From what I understand China's social credit system is based on the views you share or repeat and whether or not they are in line with the governments own propaganda. They go up if you agree, down if you don't, and your social standing and quality of life follows.

If I'm wrong about that just look up the "persecution of Falun Gong". They squash all social movement before they can happen.

and I have no clue about the banning and burning books and attempting to censor history.

God, rightwing propaganda is so damn shrill. "ending all media that opposes their views" getting sued out of existence over libel/defamation isn't the same as censorship brodawg.

Republicans are ending their own party by insisting on going down with the trump trainwreck.
