I wish my folks would just tell me where our family Jew-gold is stored. It’s just not fair, ya know? They’re controlling all the banks, and meanwhile I’m $35k+ deep in student debt.

Honestly won't even click to the forum to check the posts you guys are talking about due to concerns of cookies/trackers/viruses
tho it would be kind of comical if the admins from Stormfront saw all the traffic from Shroomery, looked into it, found out about his posts here and banned him there for it would really put a damper on his fleeing there for free speech =x

Well, I feel a lot less petty for chasing after Qman now lmao
By the way, I'm onboard ;-)
Lets infiltrate stormfront, become their leaders, and then systematically dismantle them.

Here's something I didn't know before. I think most of us knew that Bernie is the leader in percentage of small (under $200) campaign contributions, but did anyone realize Trump is 2nd?

And Trump is WAY ahead of Bernie in total small dollar contributions:

Hmmm, might be time to make another Bernie contribution...
-------------------- I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

There nothing that special about that. Obama saw 10.4 million new jobs in his second term. Trump is lagging behind that significantly with about 6.6 for his first three years. 2019 is on track to be the worst year for job creation since the end of the recession. Manufacturing job growth has ceased. mining is in recession.
GDP growth under trump is no better than under Obama as well, and trump has yet to come close to some of Obama’s quarterly GDP rates. I think the best trump has done is 3.1 while Obama had a few quarters over 4 and one over 5.
The economy is fine, even as it slows. But acting like trump saved this country from economic disaster is absurd. Essentially, the economy has been exactly the same for 8 years

Canada doesn't exactly have a surplus to supply a country that's 10 times bigger, and there will be pressure to restrict exports that would affect it's own supply and domestic prices.
It's a good plan. It won't work so drug prices will stay high, and Trump can pretend he gives a fuck about people who cannot afford prescriptions.
Trump proposes rule for importing prescription drugs from Canada
Cmon now, Canada is 10 times smaller than the US?

Nothing has changed from Obama to Trump, it's the same low credit growth, low wages, low inflationary economy with growing wealth inequality. To be honest, under those conditions we could go on and on for years without any official economic recession. The fact of the matter is that the deterioration of the middle and lower classes continues regardless of the measured GDP.
The argument I am finding more convincing is that having a job is better than not having one and, from that perspective, things are getting better for all involved. Also, the wages appear to be growing faster than under Obama:

If the US keeps growing at the current clip in a low inflation environment Trump's third term will be a really tempting proposition...

Obama wasn’t responsible for the first 5 years or so after his election because we were living out the consequences of Bush’s policies. Now we’re seeing what Obama did for the economy.
Basically, brace yourself.
There is some inertia but I disagree with your timeframe. Some economic indicators like consumer confidence change almost instantly and we saw exactly that when Trump got elected:

The positive sentiment then manifests as increased spending, then hiring, investment in plant and then profits etc. I believe it is apparent which way the cruise liner is turning fairly quickly. My suspicion is you chose 5 years because that is how long - roughly - it took Obama to turn the economy which conveniently supports your ideological position...

Should any President get credit for higher mandated wages contributing of most of the wage growth?
https://www.epi.org/publication/wage-growth-for-low-wage-workers-has-been-strongest-in-states-with-minimum-wage-increases/
Since the wages were so low to start with, the slight increase makes it appear that wage growth is really significant when it's really not.

Wrong, sir. I pulled 5 years right out of my ass.
Wasn’t trying to be specific - just thought it’s ludicrous to say the US economy exploded under Trump, seeing as how he had nothing to do with the stats that actually improved. It may not be 5 years, but it’s not a few months either.
Those are good points about sentiment, but that doesn’t increase spending by any noticeable amount in the long term. Plus, It’s not a change the president implements; it’s a reaction to him being elected. So how can you credit him with it?
