I was at first shocked dismayed and disgusted to find out that this less than 500 word speech had triggered such a response in some people.
Their vitriol and attacks make me sad.
Then when you think about it the volume of hate is in eqaul proportion to the positive effects she has had. They're triggered because its working.
Power to a 16 yo girl...how very threatening.

I think trump has about an 80% chance of being reelected. Biden seems like he's going to be the nominee which will alienate a lot of the base. He'll probably run a big fancy campaign that will look a lot like John Kerry, and lose in the end by a small but reasonable margin.
However, by the end of trump's 2nd term, his approval rating will be lower than bush's at the end of his which will doom republicans in 2024.

Biden won’t be the nominee. It was all a brilliant plan by the democrats to bait Trump into an impeachable offense

The speech was disturbing for a variety of reasons, what was threatening about that fact?
Also, I'm unaware of any "hate" from the speech. I think the issue was the tone of the speech and the fact that a child with mental issues gave the speech in front of the whole world.

Yeah, it's possible that she'll end up the nominee, I just don't like warren. I'll be sad personally if she's the nominee.
She never should have claimed to be native american, I can't just overlook that. It was a really disgusting thing she chose to do for a long time and benefited from, and it took pressure from the press and a lot of crazy bullshit to get her to change her position. No matter what she says or does, I can't just forget that whole routine. If she had come clean in the beginning and apologized, but no, it was just the opposite.
Even if she is the nominee, I don't think she'll do any better against trump than clinton did. I'd be vaguely happy to be wrong I guess, but again I just personally don't like warren.

Luckily there’s no historical precedent for Trump exploiting a tired scandal to win an election.

Her family believed they had Native American heritage and it was 40 years before DNA testing was available. Do you know how many people find out they don’t have the heritage they thought they had due to dna testing?

I would imagine it’s considerably lower than the number of white people who claim Native American heritage to cosplay as a POC

Also weird how someone so dedicated to their apparent Native American heritage had absolutely nothing to say about Standing Rock.
Guess which candidate did

Yeah, it's very common, and I've even heard people in my own family repeat those kinds of myths. I just want someone better than that for the whitehouse.
At least Biden straight up said in the last debate that no one should be in jail for a nonviolent drug crime. That's a pretty awesome statement that none of the other candidates made. Biden sucks as a candidate, but I'd take him before warren.
I'd vote for warren if I have to, her politics and everything are fine, I just don't like her personally.

Is that really your response to a lifetime of evidence that’s in stark contrast to everything she’s said since launching her presidential run? Whoops? There’s those liberal convictions I keep hearing about.
No wonder Democrats have a 51% approval rating of George W Bush. All you have to do to earn their respect is be a little better than what they’re currently mad about.

A. Warren has been a progressive for most of her life and any evidence to the contrary is a misunderstanding
B. She’s a political opportunist who changed her politics in the 90s when the wind changed direction, and is doing so again now
Koods thinks A is the obvious answer here

Warren has such a rich tradition of Native American culture that she had to plagiarize from the NYT to make her Native American cookbook

Trump speaks, reads and writes at a fourth grade level and that’s acceptable
But a passionate young lady with Aspergers is “disturbed” well we can just agree to disagree

Many people believe a mentally ill child is being used and abused to promote a political agenda, I don't think looking out for her well-being is the issue here.
Who's trying to denigrate her for what exactly? The girl thinks her childhood is shit and the future is completely bleak. That's a very sad state of affairs for a 16 year child.
