I think a pretty good case has been made that blacks are disproportionately poor, and therefore disproportionally disadvantaged growing up.

I'd be fine if affirmative action helped the very poor rather than minorities.

Usually. Your skin color shouldn't advantage or disadvantage you. Correcting past wrongs now, is wrong. They say that two wrongs dont make a right. On that note, i was absolutely disgusted with the NFL and their rooney rules proposal

In college admissions affirmative action for whites take spots away from more academically deserving Asians. Try to resolve that with conservative attitudes against affirmative action in employment.

How can you correct wrongs from the past?  Does that attempt to correct those wrongs hurt people in the present/future, if so, that's another wrong.

For example:

If you want to run for office and you inherited billions, you probably have a good shot if you use your inherited money to promote yourself.  If you want to run for office and you're born in a slum, you have very little chance.

To correct this, we can pass campaign finance reform laws and give each candidate the same amount of campaign money, so only the most qualified person wins.  Seems fair, except the billionaire by inheritance will cry "WAAAH, NOT FAIR!  If I used my daddy's money, I could probably beat the more qualified guy from the slum!"

How would we determine what makes one candidate more qualified than the next ? If we went off of relatable Job experience , Biden is waaay more qualified than Trump .

A person having been a corrupt Congressman and VP makes them more qualified to be a corrupt President. I totally get that line of reasoning.

I agree, Trump was a corrupt businessman screwing over other business people for decades. That's why he knew many politicians throughout the decades.

If you grew up poor in a slum, you can still be for Medicare for All and ending foreign wars in countries that aren't a threat, etc.  Things your establishment democrats don't care about.
