DEI is a blanket term for employment policies that prohibit discrimination against people based on skin color, religion, sexual orientation, etc.  It's things like a prohibition on throwing the N word around work and calling someone a "faggot."  It's about treating everyone with dignity and respect.  It isn't about hiring decisions.

I think its theres alot of folks on both sides of this thing taking this DEI nonsense too far. We already have alot of pretty robust anti discrimination in the work place laws. :sadyes:

Not anymore. Were you speaking in the past tense? Because now that is federally prohibited, and you will have your funding pulled if you don’t pull all DEI programs and hiring policies.
That’s what happened to Harvard.

All I make of that is your will to make a bad-faith argument.  For biden, you say "0 commercial airline accidents." but for trump, you talk about "5 fatal aviation accidents."  There were far more than 5 fatal aviation accidents in biden's first four months, and there were far more than that in Trump's as well. 

The only accident on your list that could ever be attributed to ATC would be the first one, and even that appears to be pilot error all the way. Blaming trump is no different from blaming yourself.  You are equally as responsible as trump is for at least 4 of those.  The only exception, and simply as a technicality, is the first one where the pilot who made the error was in the military, therefore Trump, as commander-in-chief, is ultimately responsible.

That's an excellent point. I think this problem will become increasingly pervasive in the coming years. People give AI's the same trust as a Google search, probably because Google uses AI now to answer question prompts.

I don't remember who it was, but someone posted an article recently, about a lawyer who cited a whole bunch of court cases in a trial case, as precedent, that didn't exist, because he was relying on ChatGPT to do his job for him.

If you want to know how little confidence to have in AI ask how many kids Nick Cannon has.

Has nothing to do with Nick Cannon and how he feels about his children. It has to do with AI being so wrong that it will directly lie to you when you ask it a question.

I don’t know if it’s trying to lie. And that’s not even the problem. The problem is that it was fed enough bad information that it confidently is wrong.

That’s the main issue then you have to try and figure out how to ask a questions to get it to present the correct information when it wants to present you the wrong information so many times.

That’s the issue. That these flaws are like ingrained into it and it’s growing around it.

I guess in my scenario, the publicist would have been feeding enough information that he only has two kids into the system that it doesn’t know any better.
