Then I'll be disappointed but secure in the knowledge that it was the best possible outcome given the circumstances.

That might depend on who his VP is.

AOC?
Tulsi?
Warren?
Other?

I am stupid for thinking feldman114 was wrong about the New York Times being a mainstream (non-establishment) paper.  I now clearly see that it is.

Note - This signature ended up as a badge of honor since the New York Times turned out to be  far more corrupt than either of us thought.

Yes, I fully expect some attempts on his life. I will be fine with that, as Bernie will choose a Bernie-certified vice president to replace himself. Though, I would hate to see any harm come to Bernard Sanders!

Either way, if Sanders is murdered, he will be a martyr, and that is one potent tool in the world of politics.

Won't be able to get anything done?

:laugh2:

He's already gotten everything done! He's changed the face of American politics for decades to come. The Bernie Sanders campaign has always been about much more than the man.

AOC isn’t old enough. She would have to be 35 by Inauguration Day/

I would think Bernie's VP would be either Tulsi, or Warren, but I have no idea. I would hope not Warren.

So she's good for 2024, by a couple months.

This group sounds professional, sophisticated and focused.

32 million voters is nothing to sneeze at.

About 40.4% of eligible Latino voters came out to the polls during the 2018 midterm elections -- about 11.7 million voters in total, according to the Pew Research Center.
A record 32 million Latinos are expected to be eligible to vote in 2020, making them the nation's largest minority for the first time.

The 'knower of words' doh. I think his brain connected enthusiasm with racism somehow?

Trump launched his own initiative aimed at Hispanic voters, called "Latinos for Trump," last year and held a rally in September in New Mexico.
The rally featured an awkward exchange when he introduced Hispanic Advisory Council member Steve Cortes, asking him if he loved Hispanics or the country more.

The White House concedes it is likely there will be enough votes for witnesses in the impeachment trial. 🤗

Do you think there’s even a tiny chance of removal?
I wonder what would need to happen at the trial for any of the republicans to vote for it. Maybe with new evidence...naw, who am I kidding. I think Trump can come in, tell the senate they’re all fired, walk out, and go right back to being president.
And FOX would then have 24/7 “debates” and panels of pseudo-experts talking about why the president should be able to fire senators...

Sometimes I think maybe the Republicans will figure out that this is their big chance to just dump this nut.

Nothing indicates that now, I know, but think about it.  Trump must have pissed off some big name Republicans pretty fucking good.  If I was a Republican, I wouldn't be very thrilled about his insulting style at the primary, and his horrid statements about John McCain, and probably a bunch of other stuff.

John McCain was in a torture prison and was selected to be released but he gave up his spot to someone who had been there longer.  And Trump insulted him!  I could hardly believe it.

Why do they need this idiot?  They know he's an unhinged maniac who fucks up the program, puts unqualified people in power positions based on nepotism, and his bumbling, ego-driven actions are not well considered and wise.  Its a recipe for disaster.  Im sure they know that.

Wouldn't they rather someone like Bush who will go along with the cult without trying to be the cult?

I figure a few republicans may have been turned off enough by the lies about the soleimani attack that they aren’t willing to give Trump the cover of no witnesses now. 🤷‍♂️
