No... you are both missing my point entirely. I don't give a shit about them changing the law. It's just a very bad look for Democrats to do it, with the goal of going after their political opposition during an election year. And yes, that clearly was the goal.

My point is that Democrats once again have delivered Donald Trump the presidency on a silver fucking platter. It's disgraceful. They are as politically savvy as a fucking child having a temper tantrum.

Two years of delays (highlighted by team Trump's failed argument that she would have to sue the U.S. government and not him), and Trump's continued defamation allowed her to take advantage of a new law, and add a second suit that brought the total to $83 million.

Trump is still telling his crowds it was all a lie. Carroll could sue him again and her lawyer would barely have to work on the case.

I'm good at understanding subtext.  You think a law giving 2500 women a chance to confront their accused assaulter in court was targeted at Trump and is democratic election interference.  You think a supreme Court that has been stacked with idealogues who overturned roe v wade after saying it was settled law, whom have been shown to have received preferential treatment from billionaires with cases before the court are "adults in the room".  Your opinions on women may not be well formed in your mind, but your various positions stated in these threads makes them clear to others.  :shrug:
