The economy is basically booming via various common measures. My investments have done just fine. They were good under Obama, Trump, and Biden. Sure there have been numerous twists and turns, but I am not retiring anytime soon.

As usual though, you are your worst enemy. You hate Nikki Haley because she "made a fortune" but love Trump when he inherited millions. What a stupid take.

You are right though, if Trump gets elected, it's going to be entertaining. He's too fucking retarded to last another four years. Just watch his interviews as of late. Biden might be old and a bit slow, but Trump was always too dumb to be in the spotlight like he is. He will get impeached two more times without a doubt.

Very true. My first 401K got going under Clinton. It has done good ever since despite twists and turns as you say. It has always gone up overall. The economy to me, is more of a measure of how the super rich are doing. Sure, employment might be low but what are people getting paid vs what does daily life cost for the average American? Inflation is back down but the prices are still up. I got my usual raise this year while prices on daily life rose rapidly for a while and they remain high. Only the quick rise has stabilized. I am fortunate. My wife and I are older, educated, have good jobs and make a very comfortable living. Many were already living paycheck to paycheck, are struggling harder due to last years inflation. They're employed still but did they get a raise to match inflation? Fuck no they didn't. But hey, the economy is doing good as long as the fat cats are making lots of money.

Trump is a straight up criminal. He is blatantly corrupt. He is not a self made man. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he got his start thanks to his dad who loaned him millions. Had somebody loaned me millions and helped me avoid the draft, I'd be doing very well for myself either. He has not once in his life ever lived like the common man. He doesn't give two shits about the military, veterans, women, or anybody but himself. He is a blatant sociopath. He's manipulated the system his whole life. It's easy when you're born rich I suppose. I pay more taxes than that asshole does. It's a sham. I drive around the midwest and see rathole houses with Trump flags flying out front. Trump doesn't give a shit about those people. They're merely stepping stones for him. Easily manipulated into believing that he understands what their life is like or that he has their best interests in mind.

Despite all this, his nut swingers will come out and defend all of the horrible shit he does and point out that somebody else made millions in their business dealings. I admittedly don't know much about Nikki Haley. I hear her talk and despite some of the stupid shit she has said or that she sometimes says the same regurgitated GOP bull shit that keeps her in the running, I feel like deep down in there somewhere, there might be a little empathy for the common American and maybe a shred of common sense.

When I hear Trump talk, I hear a blow hard, full of shit, sociopathic egomaniac who doesn't give a shit about anybody but himself. He's vile. He doesn't have any real morals at all. I can see right through his lies and bull shit. I don't understand why so many people are taken in by him and actually believe the lies he tells on the regular. He's an excellent con man. I'll give him that.

For me, if it's Trump and Biden on the ticket, I'm not even interested in hearing what those assholes have to say. I'll be voting for Biden because he's not as big of a piece of shit human as Trump is. Same with a Biden and DeSantis election. DeSantis is a wannabe authoritarian piece of trash as well. I'll just do something else and go vote for Biden when the time comes. But if it's a Biden/Haley election, I'll pay attention and see what she has to say. I'll go with my gut on who is the better human to represent our country. Well... I'll go with my gut on who I think will do the least damage. I'll likely still vote for Biden but I'll give Haley a listen for sure.

Biden doesn't use a bunch of divisive language. I get that many don't like his policies even though some have been effective despite what the right wing, Trump nut swingers are saying on Fox. Haley doesn't use a lot of divisive language either. At least from what I've seen of her. I am so sick of all that shit in America. Dividing us up. I feel like if Haley were to be president, the right wingers could have a few years to cool down with a Republican in the White House and maybe she wouldn't try to rip us apart further in the meantime. Not saying that she's the answer. I'm interested in the long game for America. Not what's best for ME, right now. For my children and grandchildren. I worry what kind of future they will have.

He pushes their agenda, so they don't care how putrid he is. The right wing knows how to come together for a broader purpose as opposed to break themselves apart over minor differences. My cousin is in his late fifties and worked in NYC his whole life for a union. Trump owes the union he works for millions. He says unions run away from his projects because of this. He loves the guy.

I think the SC is gonna take care of that. IMO, the best thing for the country is him to loose by way of votes. It will be interesting because the Dems have decided to roll the dice, if there was a time to showcase any new/ competent blood this would be the once in a lifetime chance, with a shoo-in for victory. It still could happen, as the October suprise could be some sort of geriatric nosedive.

I think the Iowa caucus results indicate that enough people still don't want to support Trump that he will be unable to beat Joe Biden in a match up.

I'm not much of a fan of Biden but will vote for him over Trump without hesitation. Trump is unqualified to lead and we have seen this repeatedly in how he behaves, speaks and affects people.

In 2016 tes Cruz beat trump in the Iowa caucus. It was something like 27% Cruz, 24% trump. This time around trump has some 50% of the vote. That doesn't sound good to me. But hey, we'll see what happens.

I never understood Cruz’s popularity, but the second fiddle guy isn’t peeling off enough support this time around. I’m guessing GOP voters think the deep state liberal communists can’t steal the election from Trump if he wins the primary hard enough?

Either way there’s zero chance Trump loses the nomination. He could be thrown in prison right now and he’d still win.

Turnout was 15%

That’s a disaster for the Republican Party

I don't think so. I think Biden might be the best case candidate against trump. He's got the name recognition to avoid getting nicknamed. Any other candidate will become associated with some shitty nickname that Trump's team comes up with. Biden has the history and temperament to brush that off.

Just found this gem and it almost gave me an erection.

“If Trump is elected, it is likely to be the kind of like the death blow to what remains of the global order.”- WEF adviser Yuval Noah Harari.

It will be the death blow to what remains of the global order.

Let that sink in.

This is why elections are "fortified" now, folks.

You could make an argument that voters aren’t as enthusiastic about Trump this time around, which isn’t really supported by polling, but I could see being true.

However, I’d say the turnout is probably low given the weather and the fact that everyone knew Trump was winning it by 30 points.

I saw allot of enthusiasm for Trump in 2016 in person that I'm not seeing now .  I knew union guys  with good jobs like mine that were going to vote Republican for the first time ever despite the party's obvious hatred of unions .
No one is talking about him , not even obvious conservatives .  They may be planning in for voting him , they  aren't proud if it though , not like the first time .
