I like to put a puppet on each hand and then have them argue, that way I don't have to watch political debates.

Which one has the stronger old man smell? Biden or Trump?
I can't tell.

I have found Trump to be more entertaining that usual lately.
He said he was like Lincoln and I thought it might be cool to start a petition to get him on the penny.
The color is right, at least.

Politics today...
A guy who thinks magnets don't work when wet, another guy who thinks vaccines turn people into magnets, and a guy who, given a chance, will tell stories about the summer he spent working part time as a fridge magnet.

Right?
He is proposing that he can murder opponents and get away with it if Congress does not convict him, this means that he can murder people in congress who would convict him. It's like killing the jury at your own murder trial and being legally allowed to do it.
I have no doubt that Clarence Thomas will support that view.

It’s all rather redonk.
I mentioned Congress in terms of impeachment, and they can do some things in regard to that but it is the Senate, as you mention, that acts as the jury for Impeachment.
My apologies for posting on that before I had checked the veracity of what I was writing.
My mistake.

In the Ruby Ridge case the federal sniper murdered a woman holding a child, was convicted and later had the conviction reversed on the basis of sovereign immunity.
There is a legal precedent for claiming that government officials have immunity for murder because they are government officials.
So it can be rather easy for the Supreme Court to side with Trump, even when it comes to the idea of literally assassinating Senators to prevent a conviction. Given how corrupt the Supreme Court is, the outlook doesn't look good. I don't believe that Roberts is corrupt, but that might make no difference here.

Not towing govt lines or saying she deserved to die but play dumb games win stupid prizes
I don’t think that ‘precedent’ is a fair comparison.
I don't disagree.
It is just the only case I am aware of where the deliberate killing of innocent people was found to be allowed upon the basis of sovereign immunity.
Still things like COINTELPRO and the proposed Operation Northwoods are disconcerting. In the former the FBI repeatedly assassinated people whose politics they disagreed with. From the Wiki on COINTELPRO:
Quote:
Many of the tactics used in COINTELPRO are alleged to have seen continued use including; discrediting targets through psychological warfare; smearing individuals and groups using forged documents and by planting false reports in the media; harassment; wrongful imprisonment; illegal violence; and assassination.
Because of this it can be argued that killing those whose politics you disagree with is a legitimate and acceptable part of government function aka part of the official duty of office. All that is required to justify it is that the person doing or ordering the killing thinks that it is in the best interest of the nation.

I think the Iowa caucus results indicate that enough people still don't want to support Trump that he will be unable to beat Joe Biden in a match up.
I'm not much of a fan of Biden but will vote for him over Trump without hesitation. Trump is unqualified to lead and we have seen this repeatedly in how he behaves, speaks and affects people.
