Part of my rationale for hoping he dies is that it would spare us the false vindication that he'll take from not dying. Jason Miller has already talked about how trump and the campaign followed all the necessary precautions, making trump out to be an innocent victim of the virus. They mocked the risks, and now they face the consequences. It's Shakespearean and poetic.

Yeah he said he was waiting for the test result.

The fact that he still went to the NJ event after learning about Hicks' positive test is enough reason to wish all the worst on him. That's like firing a gun into a crowd.

Just to state the obvious, it's safe to assume that Trump's last negative test was on or before Sept 28 (Sept 28 being the absolute latest). The campaign invoked the testing "honor system" for the debate, so it wasn't Sept 29. And it clearly was not Sept 30 based on the evasive responses of Kayleigh and trump's doc. This also indicates that he's not routinely tested before traveling to large events, since his NJ fundraiser was Oct 1, and he didn't test positive until returning from that. And that test was probably motivated by Hicks' positive result, which was not disclosed by the white house.
Doc also refused to answer whether trump has pneumonia, so that's also a yes: https://www.axios.com/trump-coronavirus-negative-sean-conley-09ac6b1f-5cce-4350-9ac8-6eb33943c7d7.html

This doesn’t include Rudy Guiliani who was clearly sick yesterday on Fox News and Bill Barr who Guiliani let slip that he tested positive
I called that shit about Barr in this thread or another (can't remember). Bill Barr was practically kissing Kellyanne. Giuliani is such a fucking idiot and a huge liability.
So obvious after Barr suddenly went into quarantine on Oct 4 after refusing to do so, even after Conway tested positive on Oct 2.

Even if he does have dementia, he's surrounded by experts, and he's willing to listen to them. That's already an improvement. I also don't think people understand what clinical dementia entails. It precludes coherent conversation about societal issues on national tv.

I meant if he wins the election he will be surrounded by experts to advise on all aspects of policy.

Fair enough. I agree that there are plenty of reasons to dislike Kamala (more valid than the sound of her voice), but there's no way I could ever understand how she or Biden is comparable to the atrocity of trump. But yeah, agree to disagree. Let's just be glad that we still have the right to choose.

That's my point. Experts or not, those are the people shaping the policy of the administration. It's more than just the president. So Biden's fumbling for words doesn't mean anything.

Going to his NJ fundraiser after learning about Hope Hicks' positive test is not evil?

Yeah, undoubtedly lots of spread during the protests. Trump's decision to deliberately ignore the risk so that he can raise money for his campaign is a really worthwhile cause too. Really does so much good for the country.

I just thought about something today. What percentage of non-mask-wearing trump supporters would you say are pro-life? Probably a majority.
So they are pro-choice when it comes to potentially spreading the virus and killing people, yet they oppose letting women have the choice to remove a bundle of non-sentient cells, despite the fact that removing those cells could improve the lives of the mother/parents, as well as prevent the would-be child from growing up in a bad environment.

It's funny that Trump compares himself to Lincoln. A more appropriate comparison is Harding -- xenophobic immmigration policies and a cabinet of corrupt yes-men. Another good comparison is Hoover due to his denial of the great depression.

Trump comparing himself to Andrew Jackson and his evil policies is one of the few things he's ever said that I agree with. Maybe the only thing actually.

How about that VA flip? Impossible to call this shit right now.
Same thing could happen in some other states that are more purple (and some that are historically more red) than VA.

GA should be blue by early morning EST. Approx 6000 outstanding votes and counting in Clayton county alone, which Biden is winning by 85%. Should cover the current state margin of fewer than 2000 votes. Will it stay blue is the question.

I think those guys counting votes in Detroit were just trying to not be harassed by Trump's cult protesting to stop the count. Of course different members of the same cult are also staging demonstrations to encourage Phoenix to keep counting (not sure what else they think the Phoenix people are doing in there if not counting votes).
