Don't do that, facebook sucks. Here, you'll have an answer within minutes. They are Panaeolus antillarum.

To be fair, I think there's some great identifiers on FB, but I wouldn't say they're any better or quicker than us. But I think the main reason why this site is better, especially if you're hunting actives, is that we are more open minded and less judgemental, and we value your privacy more. Even your pics are stripped of EXIF data when you upload to the Shroomery gallery so they can't be traced back to you.

Yeah, the main reason I said that facebook sucks is the privacy concerns. Posting under your real full name about illegal plants and mushrooms you have in your possesion may not be the smartest move. There are a lot of great facebook groups for all kinds of interests, but when it comes to illegal stuff, it may not be the safest option.

I check that FB group once in a while, and I don't think I've seen any Psilocybe ID requests on it - I guess most people are smart enough not to use it. The closest I've seen is one guy posted a suspected Amanita muscaria (which was actually an Amanita amerirubescens), and that's not even illegal in most places.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, facebook groups are great for mushroom identification in general, there are lots and lots ov very knowledgeable people on there. But for "special interest" mushrooms, this site is better. I got invited into a Trichocereus cactus group several times, and it's a great group, full of great pictures and valuable information. But I don't feel comfortable even being a member in those kind of groups, there is always a chance it would attract the wrong kind of intention. I'm not being paranoid, but why risk it when you can get the same information here anonymously.

I had to block the facebook mushroom ID group before I flat out deleted my FB account. The amount of unfettered misinformation being live-streamed through that group was going to give me a heart attack.
I've never seen so many incorrect IDs in one spot.
Not only is shroomery a better bet for an accurate ID, the best identifiers here have been singled out and given a trusted identifier badge. This makes it easier to distinguish them from the common rabble like me.
