ATTENTION parents who are medium/large dog owners
    #25844213 -

Please do not let your children walk your dog if they are too young and weak to effectively handle your dog.

I don't care if the dog is missing a hind leg, it still pulled that 9 year old boy across a street to meet me walking a dog that isn't even mine. If that pit bull would have attacked, and the fucker did let out a growl before I picked up my dog. . . That kid couldn't do shit to keep his dog back, he was trying too, leaning back, feet sliding.

Back when I had a puppy, I would take her for walks in my local park in Georgetown, which is a very upscale neighborhood in DC - where dog owners hire people to walk their dog. One of these entrepreneurs was a rather diminutive female who would often be walking a half dozen dogs at once. One day her herd of dogs saw my little puppy and got excited. They took off in my direction, dragging her by her face for 50 feet until they got to where I was. She decided the entire incident was my fault. Stupid bitch.

It's not something people put much thought into for sure. I can remember when I was 8 years old,  we had a blue grey great dane named big boy and his name fit his stature. Now, at 8 yrs old I was a lanky skinny guy, the dog was probably 3 times my weight.

My dad decided that it would be a good idea for me to take big boy for a walk, he said " wrap that rope around your arm good so he doesn't get away", "yes sir, he won't get away from me".

I take the dog outside and get out to edge of the road, all the sudden here comes this cat strutting his stuff across the street a few yards down from us, big boy and I saw him about the same time and the cat took off running.

This dog took off so fast that he snatched me off my feet before I could even register that he was going for the cat, I literally slammed to the ground stretched out my full length and was then the real fun began.

Once he took off his rope cinched down around my arm and wrist, I couldn't let go if I had wanted too. He dragged me through what seemed like every single sticker bush and thorny plant he could find.  Then he hit the  bushes, all I could do was scream and holler at the top of my lungs and of course no one either heard me or they just didn't give a rat's ass, that dog dragged me for what seemed like an eternity.

Finally, the cat ran up a tree and my nightmare came to a partial end, that was until my grandmother saw how scratched and torn up I was.

I don't know how many of y'all are old enough to remember mecuricome, it was this terrible red antiseptic that was made with mercury and it burned like fire. She took me inside and took a washcloth full of alcohol and started wiping me down. After she finished with the alcohol rag, she hit me with the hydrogen peroxide and then that terrible red antiseptic

So, I agree with you wholeheartedly,  people need to think about the power and strength of their animals. I could have easily been dragged into on coming traffic and no one could have done anything about it.

I like puppies

Koods thanks for making me laugh..for once well maybe a few times
Lmao face plant drag by a pack of excited dogs

I have a German Shepherd named ‘Sable’ and blue heeler(Australian cow dog) ‘Pepper’
Both great dogs that love everyone and every dog.
Sable listens very well by far the most obedient dog I’ve ever had. I got her for free off craigslist, drove to the middle of nowhere south Texas. She had no training whatsoever, blows me away she listens to what you tell her without being taught that. Her dad was a police dog, specifically bomb sniffing dog..so I was told.

Pepper can’t listen, she’s deaf. But the collar I bought has a vibrate function. So sight and vibe is it. She’s a great dog too.

Anyone else try Bikejoring when you were a kid? :laugh2:

Imagine being a postal worker and having dogs run at you and shit

My old carrier would never deliver to my angry neighbor cuz of her yappy dogs. She always bitched about how it was unfair that she wouldn't get her mail cuz her dogs were outside

Like you dumb cunt... these people deliver to hundreds of houses, why should they risk your dog attacking them

What got me was the dog only having three legs and still dragging that kid like it was nothing.

My dad had a dalmatian and I would take it for walks when I was around 11-12yrs old. I had an experience where the dog was dragging me along and an older lady came over, grabs the leash and says 'control your dog' and proceeded to walk me and the dog back to my house. That experience sticks with me as a valuable lesson, which I might should have taught that kid.
