Why don't the cops bust us?

How is it that we can post so many pictures and have lengthy discussions about things that are illegal on here? Seems like the cops could find us easily if they wanted.

Opportunity cost. Most shroom busts are people being careless or sheer acts of God e.g. cops coming into your home / apartment for other reasons and seeing what you’ve got going. There are probably thousands of people growing for personal use and targeting them directly would not seem practical.

The shroom busts that occur are supremely unfortunate and tragic examples of arbitrary state tyranny.

I don't know much about this.  Usually they just make people paranoid until someone talks.  That's the basic just of the situation.

The DEA mainly tracks networks.  A lot of college kid and hippy mafia is difficult to maintain surveillance on.  Mostly people are not worth much to their web of surveillance.

They probably do want you to have good trips.  They'll never say that but it IS more of a social concern of who writes what, influences who, public speaking and the like.

These drugs were made illegal because administration thought that was the best control measure.  It has massive effect.  Not as powerful as the drugs themselves.  Yet powerful.

It's not up to local cops to do this work, so they have to check out with other agencies often.  We have a local DEA organization that mostly busts dealers and producers.

They just don't have the funds to be total anarchists.  Which is what it amounts to.  Tyranny is anarchy.

Local cops would have to specifically locate local members on here. It would take too much time to sift thru everyone just for a couple shroom heads.

I guess the feds could find u if they wanted, but u would have to be a seriously big player and give them reason to even look into u. The feds aren't gonna waste their time with small time growers unless it's a mail/border issue.

And this is a world wide site so... alot of people from all over.

Customs ain't that good.  They have so many cases they rarely follow up on seeds/spores and stuff like that.  They mostly look for international crimes and go for that.

Now we have a lot more domestic cannabis seed options.  I'm not always bugged out enough to want some seed (for if shit hits the fan).  And the possibility of raising non-food crops would still be illegal.

There is a novelty to these items however.  I think society is just a wee bit retarded.

It would take actionable intelligence.  It's harder than you think to make a case of someone that lawyers up.  It's a pain in the ass in the system.  That's why poor unprepared criminals go to prison more often.

I know lot's of criminals around town that are lawyered up.  A bunch of snobby types.

I read awhile back, I have no source or anything but it was mentioning the possibility of the govt. not really wanting to tie into a legal case in regards to more ‘traditional’ preparations... I don’t know if extracted dmt would fall into this category but for aya, cacti tea used in a “not phish concert” kind of way because it could position them to be on the losing end of the argument and thus blow the whole dam open, similar to how you say if people got fed up and decided to flood this place with mushrooms, we’d all be knee deep in 3 months..

It is a do not poke the hornets nest sort of thing the way they were saying it.  Of course when you’re alone in court we all know how that goes so... I wouldn’t tempt it but it’s an interesting thought.

Mushrooms are relatively low priority, and don't have any need for untra-centralized distribution networks. You're not gonna take down some glamorous El Chapo character in this world.

Spores, microscopy samples, and "unidentified" wild specimens are all perfectly legal, as well.

As a result, these types of convictions seem to be almost 100% because you're doing illegal things around an informant, or because you broke some other law (domestic violence, driving like an idiot) that drew unnecessary attention.

I only grow Reishis and Oysters now anyway.
