Hey all
right so i have a jar with 500g rye which is about 80% colonised
I have a couple question about the ratio, will 1:4 be ok or could i go more
i was going to use a a strait coir
my question is, is it weight or volume? im sure its volume but i read on another site weight, and would it be dry volume or wet, as in would i wet the coir and then measure
also is it better to mix the coir with anything?

You should read up more before starting bulk I would say because all your questions are very basic.
Having that said.
1:4 ratio is fine. You COULD go a lot higher but colonization would be slower.
The ratio is by volume and Its when you hydrated the substrate.
If Its better to mix the coir with something I can not answer because I do not have enough experience myself. People have awesome grows with only coir so for now Im sure you be satisfied with only that.

volume and it's prepared substrate so wet. you dont need to mix coir with anything.
for cubensis I wouldn't go much more than 1:4. you can eyeball this kind of stuff doesn't need to be super perfect.
follow a method that has this information clearly laid out for you
