Habitat:
Growing in cow pasture SE Texas after some rainy days growing in or very near cow dung (flashlight went out had to use phone screen plus I don't have the best eyesight.)

Gills: very black and fragile stains black including my hands
Stem: very thin dark fragile
Cap: perhaps dark chocolate brown (they fell out of my container and into my satchel getting a little smushed so the cap is stained black too I had poor lighting while picking) small cap, fragile a little striated Bell or conical
Spore print color:
Black as night!
Bruising:
Black!My fingers too!

by your description  id say Panaeolus papilionaceus. but they are very beat up and looking kinda old/rotting.

Pan. Papilionaceus doesn't have conical caps like some of OP's specimens.

All available descriptions read "conical" and/or "obtusely conic", so I beg to differ.

Other than that, determining cap shape from OP's rather squished specimens would be mere guesswork.
