Northwest Late Juneish
    #2582377 - 04/20/04 11:18 AM (19 years, 11 months ago)

A friend of mine and myself will be taking a trip from the Seattle area all the way down to Santa Cruz between June 26 and July 11. Is there going to be any mushrooms growing anywhere around this time? or am I too late? I would love to meet some of you northwest mushroom folk.
Thanks in advance

I live in Santa Cruz...

I haven't been out for a while, but, since its rained the last few days Id imagine there would be some fleshy fungi to find.

I bet our Morels are going to start popping up right now, as well as our late season P. subbalteatus.

Oh I didn't realize that you said you'd be coming in June...

Unfortuently, we will probably have nothing at that time of year. :frown:

that time of the year you will deffinatley not find any actives. if you can come back in the fall, the northwest turns into mushroom land :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2:

edit--- slight possibility of finding a few Ps. Stuntzii

Liberty caps can be found right next to the coast in Oregon throughout the summer, but you have to comb through tall wet grass.
