ellomello said: Havn't had many insect problems. many lizards live in the greenhouse, so that's good, and i saw a praying mantis yesterday, good. Ive been having 1,000s tiny eggs that appear on only one plant, piper auritum, but i never see them hatched or what is laying them. They don't even hurt the plants, but i can't sell something covered in tiny eggs. and they don't wash off, and there are 10000's. 0000 What works is cutting plant way back almost to stems, new leaves grow before more eggs are laid, slowly removing mystery eggs.
...if anyone knows what these tiny, white/clear, sticky, eggs are.. and a better way to get rid of them, please let me know, thanks
I suggest you get a 30x loop and a 60x loop, along with a man with good vision. Then inspect your plants well and look closely for red spider mites. Sounds like you have them.
You sold me one of those plants covered in eggs?? Thought u couldn’t sell them? You also denied that you sent me a plant w eggs, you claim there were no eggs on the plant you sent me?? You also said, “ the plant I sent you sat outside for a night it must have picked up one egg and traveled....” in reality I’m pretty sure you sent me a plant w eggs. The new growth didn’t have eggs and oddly enough the plant you sent is hoja Santa hmmmmmm....
I myself was able to determine that your other plants you sent had mites also. The bug problem is NOT isolated to the hoja Santa.
Somehow this fool thinks I deserve a negative rating haha. He made up countless lies about this situation.
You say I’m trying to ruin your shroomery reputation however all I’m doing is calling you out on your lies and calling you out about lying about me and trying to make me look bad for no reason. Other than you sent me mites and wanna deny it and throw a fit.
Anyways the relative point is, your hoja santa is the vector and the bugs are not isolated to that one plant. I had to learn this for you cause you couldn’t figure it out and sent me your problem. Have you gotten a 30x -60x loop yet?
Mystery bugs...... It’s no mystery to me that you sent me red spider mites. I used a 30x -60x loop to determine this. I have some pics I took with a 60x loop if anyone cares to see.
Ellomello, I can see through this. I know you have a passion for these plants. It seems to me you need some help and have taken a dip. I hope you find the light your looking for soon brother. I know you didn’t mean to do this but being in denial about the issues hasn’t helped in the slightest.
If these bugs take hold in my garden I will be posting back to tell my story about how I got rid of them assuming that’s what happens
