Just did some GH g2g transfers.
APE on the bottom recovering nice from the shake.
Prepped some more oats as well for my PM master jar to be g2g’d.

My APE boxes are coming along nicely. Don’t want to open the lids yet, but there’s knots forming and nice beads of moisture.
The box on the far right is B+\KS combo and there’s a good amount of little pins popping up!

Beautiful fruits! Well done. You obviously gave them the conditions they needed.

..Are the white spots mycelium that condensation moved around?
...
unfortunately those spots are bacteria colonies. when in a plate mycelium and bacteria colonies are present, you need to be more cautious about it. transfer healthy mycelium from the spots far from bacteria colonies (watery spots and/or non-white-colors). if your plates show contam in outer parts (dish edges), transfer before mycelium reaches there. a contaminated dish shouldn't be shaken/moved fast/put up-side-sown. (these practices are not recommended for other clean plates too.)
if all your plates contaminate, improve your sterilization skills. always leave some plates virgin, to see whether the spores/inoculation is the contam source, or your sterilization is flawed. and, generally, don't make your agar too nutritious.

Fellow cultivators, quick q (I've posted in mushboys making shoeboxes thread too) ...
Fuzzy butts on fruits means to try and increase FAE right? My shoeboxes are in a large closet (actually the large cupboard that my hot water tank for my house is, keeps it a steady 77F ish) at moment so ideas on how to increase FAE without a fan (possible but hard to do where it is) are welcome!

My Red Boy box is starting to put up a few pins (and side-pins - sigh) and the surface looks dry, so have clipped that lid back on fully - hoping that will help.
Cheers,
Splat

Thanks. They’re not cheap as I said, but I would eventually like to do only these. I’d need more space and some shelving.

My PC came with a big warning page that said not to use a propane burner, cause it can fall over, and also get it over 3500 f. And pop it. But I don't have to much experience with pcs and they probably are just trying to weed out the idiots that get too drunk at holiday parties and forget bout their shit outside:)
Either am excited AF for the pics from that will post a cult pic today

Yeah fuzzy feet means you need more FAE. It's not crawled all the way up the mushrooms so you don't need a massive amount more. Once you're at that stage you can just leave the lid most of the way off and then just mist quite often.

Some cultures/varieties are fuzzy regardless of FAE... it's been suggested recently that fuzzy feet that climbs the stipes is actually a result of excess moisture, and benefits from FAE due to increased evaporation, and not an air exchange/oxygen deprivation issue... the mycelium forms in an attempt to increase evaporation (transpiration really) by increasing the surface area of the fruit...

How is this tub looking? Seems like nice pinset. I cracked lid tiny bit more for FAE.
Any thoughts?
