Gday, Interested in sourcing spore prints in Australia for mycoligy purposes. Any information or advice on the Australian laws regarding spore collection, importation and domestic posting of spore prints. Also if anyone could point me in the right direction of locating prints to help further my research.
Than you.

A quick google search brings up that they're legal in Australia, the shroomery has a vendor and sponsor list that has trusted vendors that sell spores for microscopy use

You can't just spam your company here like that. Become a sponsor if you want to advertise here.

The legality of spores in Australia is based upon intent. If you're a scientist type or ID'ing and cataloging fungi you are legal, but if you order cubensis spores suspended in liquid (syringe) they are obviously not for study. If they found a single cubensis print sent to your home and they became interested in you, and then anything else in your house indicated you were growing them you'd pretty much be screwed.
Not that customs is likely to send out the cavalry for a print, it'll probably just get binned. But it's good to know where the risks are.
I've received prints from overseas a few times but with the heightened customs I'd rather not now. I don't want to be on any lists, nor the house I own.
Get domestically if you can, there's almost 0 scrutiny on domestic mail. (WA excepted)
edit: just realised the thread was a month old... oh well
