Things are like this because they are created..

Noone can pull more slack than God or the son of man..

No one can pull more slack than the necessary tendencies of existence..

The laws of physics can be bent..curved in any direction..

And even though some laws of existence can be broken.. the latent energy always has a specific way.. and noone can avoid this idea of the way.. the lawful fulfilling of the energy of existence will always beg to be fulfilled!

Miracles, magic.. whatever is your determining perspective.. you have this knowledge for a reason..

There is no cutting out logic or reason.. because energy is like a river of water that never ends.. and you will come to know this in eternity..

check out the book The Black Swan, which clearly delineates how we lose a connection with the facts when we, after the fact, attempt to explain things with imperfect understanding.

it is a compulsion - to tell stories, to explain the unexpected reality as if we had always expected it or should have done.

a story is a glimpse at something that you could be.


what are the deeper truths to these stories?

arn't stories meant to take on a life of their own?

(imperfect understanding and all)


the stories we create tell us about who we are

until they outgrow the creator

and take on a life of their own

yes stories are great, fabulous even.
but they also are very plastic, and can be made to mean whatever you want them to mean.
we need stories, but they are not reliable in the way that organized facts can be, each with their own limitations on verifiability.

they are great ways to link things together and remember aspects of the past.

you keep forgetting something. we're alive. we're not robots. so we are gonna keep telling stories, because it's fun. even with the chaos that ensues. cause otherwise, we sit and wait to die. so please.... there is literally nothing else.

are things created?
were worlds created? (by whom)
were rocks created?
was water created?

do we still need creation stories?
such myths do not improve our understanding, but they do let us drop subjects with less concern - the easiest thing is to blame a god.

Regarding creation..

The simplest question is to ask how something came to be..

In the materialist aspect we see the big bang as prime mover..

In the spiritual direction.. we see the mundane egg from which spawned everything..

You can and do need to understand the beginning of time.. duration..

But the mundane egg is not from somewhere far away timeless..

But something perfectly here and now..

After this is the circle.. which was one of the first objects created by the Adam Kadmon in the egg so to speak.. WHICH IS THE SOUL..

And therefore everything came from this source. Which is the source of everything..

writing a story and having no further involvement in how it plays out seems like a fun role to play.

here is a creation story,

out of one of the smallest seeds
emerges one of the largest trees
...colossus, colossus....
and among the smallest of man,
the power of all men will arise.
within him is the final influence
of the remaining ages of time.

out of nothing but thought the universe emerged
out of sound codified in word
the first expressions of matter solidify

and so all is nothing,

I used to think the same, but I only know where I am and where I have been. People can literally excuse anything regardless of their belief system. With a belief system may be woven virtues. For me, my belief system has been whittled away to the virtues themselves. Feels right. That is all I know.
