question on flush times

so i'm curious what the term "flush" means exactly to different people? when i read something like "expect 3 to 5 flushes" i assume they'll all grow at the same time until they're done and harvested then start over again for a new flush. however now that i'm harvesting my 4th bulk grow i'm realizing i have no idea when 1 flush ends and another begins. basically i'm harvesting every day. sure it's slowing down but there is no discernible cut off point between 1 flush and another.

Sometimes they come in at different times.  Usually there is a pause between harvesting everything and new pins coming in.  That is what separates the flushes.

I'm right there with you, jjd. I always have fruits in every stage of maturity growing all at once from the same tub or cake. I wind up harvesting a few each day as they mature. I see no discernible break between "flushes". I believe a lot of it is because I'm dealing with MS. Are you? I think the "flushes" are much clearer when you're growing from a clone or a strain you've isolated on agar.

when you harvest :laugh: in that case i have like 18 flushes every grow. you might be right chinaman. I'm still very foggy with a lot of this terminology but MS is multispore? which is commonly found in a spore syringe correct? because yes, that's what i've been using
