A bandsaw cuts coir easiest. Or you can use a cheap Japanese Pull saw.

Agree I cut mine into quarters with a bandsaw. I used to use a knife until I realized I had a saw in my basement lol.

Bandsaw? Mineβs reserved for Meat only Lol
I use a rigid boning knife to split coir blocks right in the bucket. Found a good use for the useless henkel I bought about 20yrs ago. Takes all but a minute or 2 to make quick work out of em. Just be careful not to cut your digits off

thanks brother these are actually tamps tho but when young at first glance they do look kind of similar. I love these little tubs and trays. homw depot has an awesome sale on plastic trays right now they are perfect hight for pans locking lids you get 3 for 9 bucks + 2 smaller containers

they also have some good sales right now on perfect deep tubs that are not too big

I think it's funny how the same mushroom can look so different. These are Cambodians and both of them are from the same agar plate even. This is the second flush for both of them. One box has light almost orange-ish caps the other has dark burgundy caps just funny (you can zoom in to see it better)

This was a fun and productive novelty grow.

Uneven MS flush and I should've given this thing a bottom water, but it turned out real nice. I'll post some harvest pics later.

Thanks! I'll definitely be using this again in the future. I had a shite dehydrator, that died after a couple runs. Gutted it,taped any holes and put a liner in. 2qts spawn (KS) and about 2-2.5qts coir.Top layer at spawn.
