Obviously, the potential for abuse is far higher in heroin, vs a gardener who makes some opium tea to enjoy a few months out of the year. So with such a wide array of products this is a fairly complicated question... what do you guys think about healthy opium use, and not so healthy use? Is there even a healthy day to day use for any opiates?
I feel most people should stay away from opioids, but I also feel it's totally possible to dabble with them occasionally with out issue...Just depends on the person. Depending on the person and their self control/will power, how strong minded they are, etc.... But I feel the majority of people have very little self control. Most people give in to their cravings/urges/impulses way too easily and then it's a downward spiral from there.
I don't really view any single drug as being addictive...I feel it comes down entirely on the person, why they're using the drug, their ability to control their impulses/urges, etc etc etc....
...but when it comes to opioids, lots of people do dig themselves into addiction. It's a slippery slope for most.
I was able to dabble with opioids occasionally and never really fell into any sort of addiction with them...I was mostly self-medicating with them in a way, using them for socializing, anxiety, etc. But I wasn't taking them every day, I would only take them for specific occasions. I also always kept my dosage low, I was never trying to get "loaded" or on the nod, I was taking them mostly just to get me out of my head and ease social anxiety. (I'm very introverted, and kinda aspergy).
When going over to a freinds place for a get together or a house party, instead of drinking alcohol (I don't like alcohol) and getting drunk like everyone else I would just take a lil bump (5mg or so) of oxycodone up my nose a time or two through out the night. The oxycodone was less detrimental to my body than alcohol, it would ease my anxiety more so than alcohol does and it would make me much more social than alcohol.
Funny...because lots of people might look down on someone snorting some oxycodone, but everyone else at the party getting drunk on alcohol is soemthing that's totally acceptible and OK . When in reality that lil bit of OC up my nose is less toxic and detrimental to my body than alcohol is.
Several years ago there was a period of 60 to 80 days or so where I was taking oxycodone (occasionally oxymorphone) a few days a week...I always kept my dosage the same, even after 2 months my typical dosage was still just 5mg up my nose, no more than 10mg in a day. I never even seemed to develop much tolerance.
I haven't touched any pharmacuetical opioid in several years though...Now that I have discovered kratom (6+ years ago) I don't really have much desire to take pharm/potent opioids.
If I come across someone selling actual legitimate hydrocodone, or oxycodone, of hydromorphone...I might grab a few for a special occasion...but generally speaking I don't have any interest in pharm-opioids these days. And I'm a bit concered about touching opioids on the "market" considering how much fent is out there these days.
I do plan on growing some poppies in the garden this year though .

I have been using opiates in a recreational manner for over 25 years and I love them. They give a nice a nice relaxing buzz and take away my general body pain.
All opioids from kratom or pod tea, to heroin are addicting. Be careful.
My favorite is opium, then pod putty, then krat, IV diluadid, Roxi, and last is Heroin.

I thoroughly enjoy opiates, and while it's been a few years since I've touched anything besides kratom I dabbled with them with out issue for several years....Oxymorphone (opana) was hands down my favorite .
But I have never dabbled with them regularly or heavily enough to get hooked or develop much of a tolernace. I never took em' IV, just up the nose. I always kept my dosage relatively low. I'd space out the days.
Everything in moderation
