damn... i just wrote this whole post building up to my posting of this animation i did in Photoshop/Image Ready with the help of my digi-cam. NOW, i know why most people dont do this (Animations with digital pictures). I went to upload the picture and didnt even realize how big the file was. 1.1MB :sigh:

these little animations are really fun and i feel complete after making them.

What do you mean by "too big?" It depends -- if you want it as a "hey, look at this cool thing" size doesn't matter. If you want it as a "hey look at this cool thing" and post it directly into a forum thread, for example, or a blog, I'd say 350k is workable if most of your audience is broadbanded.

After reading through some tutorials last night talking to ThePatient i decided i'd give it a little go. This is my first one ever.. I did the main image in photoshop and the animation with image ready/ps... *edit* okay, that should do it

Does anyone know a good program that I can download that will actually let me convert an avi file to a gif? Usually the demos dont let you complete the whole conversion without having to buy it
