    #25788069 -

Tiny mushrooms that stoped growing, ,the stems are small compared to other ones, and the caps are developed , they don t look like normal ones and they are just 2 cm big, the biggest ones stoped  growing and they don’t go black, I don t know since I have the same setup like before, the stems are small and I don t know what to do to make them grow bigger , anybody encountered the same situation ? Any advice would help , thanks

They are just aborts that dont make it to full size.  Better pictures of your set up would help and procedure also.

Did you just mist before the pic?

Give a little background info. What are the growing conditions? What is the spawn? What is that substrate? Did you case the top with verm? or is there that much verm all the way through? Or maybe it's just cakes crumbled to verm is it? What are the ratios of your substrate ingredients?

It s cakes spawned to farm manure covers in vermiculite , I am using the bods unmodified tub and I had 12 normal mushrooms growing allready, this should be the second flush(I think ) the ratio was 1 to 1.5 , I ve misted just after I first cutted the mushrooms , the big ones that were @ 12 cm tall , the box is in the same place where the other mushrooms grew , I have the tub on top of a big book just like before , I ve never fanned the box and it just feel like a big loss since the tub is full of small ones everywhere , I have also 2 more boxes and I just don t understand what s wrong with it. The boa was just opened to take pictures and it s like this from a week ago, the temp is @20c and the walls of the tub have condensation all over , should I start fanning it or no ?

I have never had good results using vermiculite as a casing layer unless its CVG.  Evaporation from the surface creates the right environment for pins and you get this more with CVG than verm.

Because you are using multi spore genetics.  You have thousands of different genetics in their meaning each mushroom will have its own personality.

Well that makes sense so it s all fine shall i let them do what they’re doing? Shall I fan them more , I will not mist them tho since it should be the unmodified tub, on the other side the tub is still heavy and looks moist enough, what about the lighting, they only get indirect sunlight and light that comes from a lightbulb in the room where they re growing , they get @ 8 hours of sun and 8 hours of lightbulb light , and on night time dark, thanks

I m just afraid I misted to much and they re overly watered, since they are aborts, should I cut them off, that don t look like they will open any veil?

Allot of it is a waiting game, hard to know if somethings wrong if we dont know the 3 w's, what you did with what and when? Did you practice propper steril technique? How longago ago did you add your jar?

Look at the substrate, not walls of tub. Is  there a small layer of moisture/droplets  on to top or is it dry?
If dry don’t fan, mist and vice versa. Although I’m finding fanning redundant these days. You can achieve the same results by adjusting your lid for FAE.
For a second flush a dunking is normally required, this is where you fill the tub with water and let it rehydrate for an hour or so and pour the water out. should be easy using bods tubs.

When your mushrooms fruit they use available moisture from the sub. If you’ve grown a flush and only misted and not dunked after harvesting then there is probably insufficient moisture throughout and you’ve just saturated the top by over misting.

Did you dunk it after the first flush? How much weight did you get from the first flush? If they're definitely aborts then yeah, just pick them and probably dunk again, or for the first time if you didn't dunk.
