I may be wrong, but I think jokeshop was more interested in why you wrote, "As much as I wanna hate them...the Brits", rather than what it was about them that made you laugh.
Trees> "Britain always bullied America since the early ages. Always bossing them around and what not, acting like they owned them. They did own them, but America got tired of Britain's shit and started killthem out for good.ing American soiled Brits on sight and winning battles against Britain on American soil and ultimately driving Maybe saratonin is that kind if American"
I was going to just delete the drivel, but seeing as this is the funnies thread...
If that's the case, it might be time to stop living in the past. We used to have an empire you know.

If you 'highlight' the phrase and 'right click' (one of the mouse things buttons) it brings up a 'drop down list' of things to 'click on' that links you via something called 'google' where you can 'read all about it'.

Where did he say anyhing about hating British humour? He was asking why you wrote "...I wanna hate them...the Brits".
Oh never mind. I just noticed jsb posted.
I think it's down to the age of most on the shroomery. They are still full of what they learnt in history classes in high school. The youth are all about how their citizens fought off the evil British empire by their own valour, with absolutely no outside help, whatsoever, from our (Britains) old European enemies, and is of course brought into focus every 4th of july.
Get over it already.

Tonydanzawillpay "America rules, fuck the british"
This. Lol
Alex> would you share with the class the British perspectives(s) you’ve been told?
When I was at school, basic contemporary history was more Euro-centric, with a bit of Egyptian thrown in. I don't recall learning much of anything about the American revolution, why would we? we lost it, we moved on. We've lost an entire "empire on which the sun never set" since then. The American revolution was what 300+ years ago, is simply of less relevance to us, than it is to you.

InvisibleTantrika: but humans are going to blow up the planet before we ever find extraterrestrial life and there's no simple magical way to transition no god looking out for anyone and no hope to be found
Maybe extraterrestrial life always blows itself up. It's just what 'intelligent' beings do. By the time they get to the point of space travel, they have, literally, outgrown and destroyed the worlds that supported them.

Maybe i'ts a somehow, jeanetically inherited throwback to the days of slavery. The only thing that's changed is that the chains are now sartorial.

New arrival at the pearly gates. "So. St Peter, where's my mum and dad".
ST. Peter. "Ahh, sorry, they didn't make it".
New arrival: What do you mean, they didn't make it!
ST. Peter. "Well it turns out, your dad was a paedophile, and your mum a procurer of young boys.
There's a life recording of there lives over there where you can watch the repeats, and over there, a CCTV feed from their cell in hell.
Torments start on the hour every hour, enjoy and welcome".

Meanwhile: Microsoft is making an ambitious commitment to eliminate its carbon footprint by pledging to go "carbon negative" in the next decade and investing $1 billion to help develop clean technologies. The tech giant said Thursday it will seek to remove more carbon than it emits by 2030/.
And: Microsoft has discontinued Windows 7 support so that we can focus our investment on supporting newer technologies and great new experiences. The specific end of support day for Windows 7 was January 14, 2020
And forcing entire governments to dump millions of perfectly usable computers. Again. Oy. Microsoft. No.

If having the most monotonous voice was an Olympic sport, based on how long the average man could listen to his voice (I got to 20 seconds) this guys got to be in line for a podium position.
