33, about to turn 34. I signed up here when I was 21, apparently. My how the time has flown...slowly in person, gone in a flash in retrospect.

I'm much better off now than then, but with statistically less time to enjoy it. Still in school, still have 2.5 years to go before I can even consider getting a job in my new field. I'll be almost 38 before starting my actual career.

Still. Although the best time to plant an oak tree was 100 years ago, the second best time to plant one is today.

31. I don't give a fuck though. Why bother counting? I like some of the other people in my age group. Lately i've been hanging out with a lot of people who are 21 to 25 and I like them a lot too. Not a fan of babyboomers, i know some cool ones but its like 1 in every 1000.

I feel your pain. We'll sort of.

I just turned 30 last month and I still get carded every time for paint, caffeine pills, some otc medicine, tobacco products, etc, basically all the things you have to be 18+ to buy where I live.

Shit a few years ago I remember getting carded a couple times when I went going to see an "R" rated movie at the theatre LOL

I'm just used to having my id out and ready to go when buying stuff, cause I know Ithere is about a 95% chance someone is gonna ask to see it.

It used to sort of piss me off, but as I got further into my 20's I actually started taking it as a complement.

IMO it's way better to be 30 and look like you're 20 than be 30 and look like you're 40+ like a couple of my friends.

In Texas we have the TABC "texas alcohol beverage commission" that goes undercover to buy alcohol, and if the cashier doesn't card him/her....your business will be on the news for serving alcohol to minors.

I usually just have my I.D. ready, and more times than not they'll thank me for having it out. It's just procedure...nothing personal. I see soooo many people getting bent outta shape for when the get asked about it.  It takes em more time to huff & puff about it than it would to just have it out...you're going for your wallet anyway. :shrug:
